Which means I'll just proceed to look forward to Friday, when it should be here, AND be unlocked on Origin.

 

Just gotta reinstall my Windows until Friday. The current install is about two years old, and I suspect it... doesn't roll on it's full potential.

Mainly, it comes from the fact that where in DAO tac cam was basically the "zoomed out mode", here tac cam  can be activated at any level of zoom, and some of the key binding are different from normal mode: first you have auto attack, and second the WASD moves the camera instead of the character. That means that you can't move the camera with the mouse, and even out of tac cam you can only move the camera with the mouse by holding the right mouse button..

And you can't just move the character by clicking with the mouse, you have to use WASD.

 

There's also the fact that the camera will focus on a companion if you click on his icon, and you can lose sight of the enemy in the process.

 

The camera also can't pass obstacles, ceiling included, which is annoying in closed areas, and generally doesn't zoom out enough to have a clear view of the battlefield, you have to move around a lot.

Sounds like something that will take a bit of getting used to, but I'm sure I'll cope.

I guess it might be more annoying if you're used to switch between the two, 'cause sometimes you you're in tac cam and expect auto attack and you're not, but since I'm always on tac cam, and after some painful russian key rebinding, a game flow eventually took form.

My advice is to pick a mode and stick with it, switching around will often get you confused on which mode you're in.

Yeah. Unless the game turns out to be unexpectedly tactical I was intending to play it mostly over the shoulder.

What! you cant move camera at all with mouse or is it just while using tac cam?

As soon as I saw that they had included jump, I was pretty certain that normal movement would be WASD only on PC. I didn't see how else they could work it...

I need to wake up quite often at 6am and it can be difficult sometimes. Waking up early is not my thing 

 

I wont judge the game and its controls before i have tried them myself.
