Personally, I believe that Fenris hasn't completely shed his slave mentality.
The implication I feared. It's tragic, really. It's also kind of humorous whenever he goes on about what to do with mages and how they are not oppressed etc.

I have a vibe that Sera won't have a horse in the mage/templar race. If she's connected to a larger political situation in the game, it'll be the elven unrest in Orlais.

That was my feeling too and the way he acted when he returned with Danarius only strengthened that for me. I can totally see how people interpret it differently though.

You never truly recover after abuses like this. And yes, it is tragic.

I wouldn't even go that far. By all appearances, she's just another comedian rogue who doesn't take anything seriously and is aloof of the politics that surround her.
I could be wrong, and I am saddened that I won't be.

Everyone loves a puckish rogue.
But no one loves dozens of them at once.
Keep that in mind, Bioware.
To be honest im disappointed with companions for now no one intresting as far every companion seems dull and when they try put less serious like here we have manchild jester... i hope in game they will be more interesting than now or companions were in da 2...

I hope Bioware can find a balance between the jesters and the broods, and the personalities of them. Having a character with nothing but quirky one-liners, then having a character who does nothing but ****** and whine, both extremes aren't good to have.

I actually agree with you on something. My god. :X
It would be difficult to have a relationship with someone you were morally opposed to, which is why I found it odd that Fenris would willingly romance pro-slavery Hawke. Very, very odd.
Pro Slavery?
He doesn't view the Circle as Slavery if that was what you were inferring, if you mean the other more actual defined term within Thedas, wouldn't that relation end the moment Hawke sold Fenris?

I disagree; the thing that kept me from liking Anders or Fenris in DA2 was that they were less characters and more mouth pieces for what became the game's central conflict.
The idea that most of the characters won't be representatives for the various politics is one that appeals to me.
That being said, I am concerned she might be a little too much like the comedic rogues we've had in the past; I do hope Sera is set apart from them with her own, distinctive personality.

We can have our two or three really serious and important companions, then a few humorous ones.

Having serious-humored companions would be cool too. Morrigan, for example, was always a no-bullshit smartass. She saw seriousness in situations. But she was funny a lot of the time too.
Pro Slavery?

No, i believe she refers that you can let all slavers go, make Orana your slave and still romance Fenris, just on Rivalry path. And not selling him back with this kind of Hawke can be easily justified, that he's far more useful to keep, considering what miserable sum you'd get. It's disgusting, unhealthy and really OOC for Fenris, but nevertheless possible.
Unless i am totally mistaken and she was really talking about mages.

Agreed. If not, her spot will have been a waste.
Someone made a joke about her being Mary Sue, no one is claiming or probably even thinks Sera is Mary Sue so let's not get an attitude just yet.
Anyway

She seems a bit different to me, at least, on another level than Varric completely.

Well being that we only know for sure about Varric, Cassandra, and (to a lesser degree) Vivienne's personalities, you, fortunately, have a lot of room for "interesting" companions still.
I just don't understand the sweeping statements given that we only know who 7 of the 9 companions are and we almost nothing about 4 of their personalities (Solas, Iron Bull, Sera, and the Grey Warden).

That would be my bet as well. My guess is that she'll be fairly similar to Varric in regards to the whole Mage/Templar conflict, and not really closely aligned with either side. As a City Elf I'd imagine she be at least sympathetic with the plight of those in alienages however, regardless of how political (or apolitical) she otherwise is.

im not impressed with that trio they even turned varric into 2 goody shoes and another trio is just grumpy whiners that will cry if you won't support their side (da have a lot of these since da 2). And from arts Sera pushed me away already as another "manchild" jester rogue i don't know about iron bull and that "solas" but grey wardens seems another dull duncan type but i hope that he isn't...
What did exactly Varric do or say in DA2 to lead you to believe that he'd be fine with not preventing a village being annihilated?
Just his general laid back attitude. I kinda am surprised as well that he cared.

He come over to my mansion and he kick my dog.
He come over to my mansion and he kick my dog.
Wait.
So apparently if you have a laid-back attitude it means you won't care if a village burns down?
Holy Maker I must be evil
