Oddly enough... Most horror films just make me laugh, but Alien scared me the first time I saw it as a teenager...

The first two movies in this franchise count as some of my favorite films EVER.

I think the reason why Alien scared with me is that we don't know what alien life might be out there in the universe, so maybe a monster like that could exist, but most horror films with monsters in the real world... I just laugh and say "that's silly."
