I'm over the moon there isn't. Not every relationship has to result in sex, nor does sex solidify the fact that you love your partner. Sure sex is after all a part of the relationship but some people are just not comfortable to the notion of making love to their partner before they feel the relationship is ..locked in for lack of better term- marriage or just emotionally (me being the former).

you are makeing me supper sad I didn't pick joise ;-;

oh well next play through

Any idea where do I get schematics for the Flames of the Inquisition armor?

It looks cool... but it's been outmatched by different armors for a LONG time now in my playthrough. I want to craft it with better materials!

Edit not fifteen seconds later: The stupid part of me forgot to see if I got another Special Deliveries box in the Undercroft. I've got it now.

While waiting for that, new idea came to me - maybe Sera tells the same thing to both male and female Qunari character. I've read here that to anyone else she says something about IB making her wonder how "their" women look like, so obviously it had to be different line for a male Qunari.

Maybe they just saved their time and gave the same dialogue to any Qunari character, but they missed the fact that such comparison sounds vastly different when she says it in reference to someone who was showed to make her act like completely captivated school-girl.

But I guess no one here is playing male Qunari.

So I did a quick playthrough with male Qunari, and unfortunately it confirmed the worst scenario. Sera just says a line about wondering how "your" women look like instead of "their".

Which means that the line she tells female Qunari was written specifically with her in mind, and it was fully intentional for Sera to compare the female Qunari PC she's crazy about and is clearly attracted to, even if you don't hit on her, with Iron Bull, after saying that he makes her wonder about things (which, following advice of Lukas and looked at with the context of the game including different playthroughs in mind, obviously means sexual thoughts, or at least it meant in conversations with all the other PC's), which makes it look like Sera is attracted to Iron Bull to some, though smaller than to female Qunari character, degree.

I'm terribly disappointed. Few months ago I wrote on this forum that I hope it won't be insinuated in any ambiguous way that the first lesbian character of this series is attracted to any degree to any man like it happens so often in other forms of media, but I didn't really think that could be the case. After all that line wasn't crossed even with Traynor in ME3, who was in large part just a fanservice for straight men with all that "accidental" teasing and I thought it could get only better from that point.

I believed in you guys.

Taking a break from playing to just say that I hope to see her voice actress get a lot more roles. She does a great job and is easily my favorite party member

Just because she may find IB attractive doesn't exactly mean she is sexually attracted to him though. I mean im asexual and I can think people are "attractive" but it doesn't mean I want to have sex with them.

not only that I highly doubt she's attracted to him. Just because she thinks things doesn't mean anything, hell I think things about iron bull and I'm straight. Who wouldn't be curious on how bull "works"

I agree, its fitting with her lack of a filter between her head and mouth, impulsive, crude, etc....

part of her charm if you are into that sort of thing

If you were expecting Bioware to follow your insane standards of what makes a lesbian character acceptable you were always going to be disappointed. Bioware keeps adding lesbian characters and you keep saying they dont count. Who made you queen of the lesbians?

Thats a bit of an overreaction, innit?

Sera asks the qunari inquisitor how qunari women look like. Not how big or tiny IB's dick is and how he could be in bed.

Also lol at you thinking the "things" word could mean anything sexual at all. That's purely your own assumption.

That's how you get the Red Lyrium Reapers. Not interested in those, mind you :P

As a side note: Anyone saw Silverite in the game? I need Phoenix scales, and some good metal for armor... And Silverite is the first thing that comes to mind as the "Been everywhere so far" metal of DA.

I seem to remember getting the shcematics for the dragon stuff at the same time as getting the red lyrium stuff.

silverite..... I want to say I found some in the Emprise Du Lion? Or somewhere in Orlias last night.

What's really disheartening to me is seeing so many people not finding any problem in the idea that he really made her wonder about him sexually, and even finding it "cute". That would be exactly another case of the "trainwreck of lesbians in the media" you mentioned in your comment.

So you're seriously comparing a case of "lesbians sleeps with a man for reasons" with an off-hand comment about Qunari's women ? really ? And since we're judging the entierety of Sera's character with one line, what about the time she's implied disgust at the though at IB and an elf dooing the nasty ?

No sexual attraction toward men insinuated is "insane standard" for a lesbian character according to you? I think many would agree, that's why "lesbian sleeping with a man" trope is so extremely overused.

You apparently missed my response to Lukas in which I explained my concerns in more personal detail, so here I post it again:

No. You misunderstood my response. I'll try again, but nothing kills the player/reader/viewer experience like a writer explaining a character.

@ Lukas

Thank you so much for putting your wonderful talent in writing to work on Sera, I've found her to be my favorite character in game, I love how she interacts with my Dalish elf, who is trying to comprimise between being called the herald, and not really understanding any of the other cultures of thedas.

A lot of people here have said this, but if you think people can't say a member of the opposite gender they are attracted to is good looking, just visit the Dorian thread.

EDIT: Oh, and Lukas, you guys are badass writers and I wanna be just like you when I grow up! HUGE thumbs up for your work on Inquisition!

That's purely my own assumption? I hoped so, and I really wanted to see something that would make it look different, I spent few hours playing male Qunari hoping that she would say the same line to him, making the whole thing just an oversight.

But it never happened, and here are the comments of people who actually defended this stuff:

JerZey CJ - Also keep in mind that a person can say that someone else is attractive even if they don't "go that way." Think of it like her saying, "Sure Bull is good looking, but I've got you and you're better."

Notshauna - I just thought she was wondering about y'know, a certain member, that's not really an attraction thing that's more a that guy is gigantic thing.

Vapaa - Merely stating someone is attractive is no big deal, and Sera doesn't spend her time swooning over IB

Steelcan - Sera doesn't flirt with Iron Bull, merely comments on his physical appearance, the dude is a tank

Corvus I - I saw that clip and thought it was cute. (I see that comment has been edited out, because it was a bit longer and genereally in tone of "even if she finds him attractive doesn't mean she wants to bed him)

But she didn't say that (she already kind of did that when speaking about Cullen and I didn't have problem with it), the fuss was about something different.
