This morning I decided to make a male human to romance Cassandra. I feel so ashamed... I have betrayed the loyalty of this thread... please don't hate me.

So I found Sera to be a lot of fun, even if I didn't understand half the things she said.

I like some aspects of her personality, but by and large she is incredibly dangerous to an organization out to save the world. TOo hot headed and will undermine tactical decisions. The Qun would sadly see her destroyed. I would sadly agree. IF she could ease up JUST a little tiny bit on the axe crazy and undermining my authority I would see her as more valuable.

So far my favorite companions are Sera, Cass and Dorian. Still no romance with Sera but I'm trying. I actually like Cullen in the game which surprised me.

 

I've ended up with a regular party of Dorian, Blackwall, and Sera.

Don't really take anyone else, because me, and being weird about stuff, I guess.

Sera was the one I was looking forward to the most... I knew I'd respect Blackwall for the whole Warden thing - but I had no idea just HOW much I'll like him... And Dorian takes the prize for being my favorite mage, againist expectations!

Blackwall, Dorian, and Sera are my main party too. I also switch in Cass and Solas a lot.

I love everyone though, and if I didn't know I wasn't going to do at least one more playthrough, I'd be so angsty about neglecting the others.

Ugh. I just cleared a cave full of spiders by standing in the entrance of it.

 

Since I switched my Inquisitor from Archer to Dual Wielder during Redcliffe (Dorian really needed some melee backup there...), I just stayed in control of Sera.

 

Blackwall's reaction: "Wouldn't mind fighting something with fewer legs next time."

Well, I got Sera! And Vivienne too... It turns out that having Sera, Cassandra and Vivienne together makes for some pretty funny conversations. I just got Blackwall and Iron Bull and I'm exploring the Storm Coast now. I got my butt kicked in a few places. 

 

I'm just missing Dorian and Cole now. It's actually kinda fun to meander in the various areas. So much stuff to pick up!

When you liberate Sera from her cell, she tells you she ran out of arrows making them pay for your death - as you're supposedly "returning from the dead" - and she sounds like she really likes you. Well, she did in my case.

 

 

All those snooty nobles, dancing their bollocks... Come Sera, let's show them how the Inquisition does it!

I really like Sera (of course) but also Dorian, Solas, Josie, Lels, Cass, Varric, Cullen (surprisingly), still on the fence on Viv and Cole and Blackwall hasn't gain points with me...dude wants me to assume the Herald name, get lost !

 

I think I'll pass his romance, that would make room for a third Seramance, a Qunari one.

Actually... There's some time travel included, when Alexius sends you to the future (refer to the Redcliffe E3 video, there's only some highly spoilery bits cut out from it) and you need to fight to get back to the present.

 

You meet Sera locked in a cage if you picked her for the quest, and she thinks you've returned from the dead - which, considering that you more or less jump straight back into the present from her point of view - thus until you do jump at the end of the future part, you're lost to that world - is true. You spend an entire year "dead" and lose the war with the Elder One. Then return to the present (you actually see Sera's body get tossed in by a demon, and Leliana's suggested to have her neck snapped seconds after you leave the future).

 

As it turns out, since you returned, that stuff did not happen - you're back to the present, with mere moments or so spent away. The game goes on, Sera, Leliana and (in my case) Blackwall are completely alright - and do not remember a thing.

I actually had to tell Leliana she sacrificed herself for me in the future - she wouldn't know otherwise.

 

They treat is as a vision then. No convo with Sera and Blackwall about this, as far as I'm aware.

Hug, Poodle. No one hates you. We all got together here to appreciate Sera...and the romance is just a small part of her character, after all.

I am considering dumping Blackwall eventually and dating her with my Cadash, but even if I don't, still a big Sera fan. She just gets better and better.

(....I would feel terrible doing that tho just because I think its so sweet that she and Blackwall are friendly (meanwhile he and my other BFF stress me out GET ALONG DORIAN AND BLACKWALL GEEZ KISS ALREAdY))

I'm just talking in terms of pure damage and coolness. I am definitely not the person to talk to about combat intricacies. I never focus on it during my first PT.

Ah yes, DW rogue is a beast on normal, one shoting regular enemies. A bit too vulnerable to AoE attacks in nightmare though.

I'm playing on nightmare. I have to tell you, Duel Wielding rogues have it easier than Two Handed warriors. The boss fight in the prologue / intro, I died at least a dozen times as the warrior, but as the rogue, I practically soloed the last half of it.

Impressive.

 

My issue with Rogues is they are usually 'squishy' and tend to take a lot more damage than warriors on average. That makes me hesitant to choose them for higher difficulties, where I'm normally much more comfortable as a Warrior (especially a tank).

With nightmare difficulty, I think the easiest approach is to definitely go range (either rogue archer or mage) if you already have experience playing on a lower difficulty setting. As soon as I started up DA:I for the first time, I went straight onto nightmare. I'm finding it really easy. Well, I still die if I don't plan but still, pretty easy.

 

Edit: I'm not trying to show off or anything. For me, this is the only option when approaching a new game. I've done it for years.
