I'm glad i accepted it then.
Yeeeeeeahhhh... I didn't. I only found out later.

Grrr i only had IB and Blackwall so far. I wanna know what others say for my qunari and Sera, and the banter takes forever to trigger. D:
It seems to be a glitch. There's a thread in the feedback section to ask the Devs to fix it.

Oh so the fact that banter barely ever happens is a glitch? I was wondering... I can walk around any map for an hour and hear pretty much nothing.

Yep, it's a very common complaint. They're looking into it now. I messed around in the Hinterlands for a couple of hours yesterday and heard zip.

I'm glad they're looking into it... I've almost finished the game and have maybe heard about 10 or so banters. Totally not enough, it makes it feel so lonely now that the maps are so huge. x(
I just got the practical joke cut scene/mission with Sera. ![]()
There is precious little banter at the minute, I did get a good Cassandra/Sera one.
Something like....Sera: What was the old Inquisiton moto
Cassandra: Not again
Sera: Oh, go on
Cassandra: Into Darkness unafraid!
Sera: Round the corner chocolate's made!
There was a bit more about Cassandra not liking chocolate, but I was to busy laughing to catch it.
Its a shame the banters so rare as its good stuff when we get it.

When do you get the romance achievement?
There's a romance achievement?

I really do hope they fix it...

Saaame! I was wondering why such little banter? I get maybe 2-3 in a whole place. I do missions/side quests and i get nothing, it's so unusual in a bioware game to have less banter than ever.
When do you get the romance achievement?
When you really lock in.
For Sera, that's the confession scene.
I believe it was you who reported you can't get it ![]()
Anyway, I'm taking my leave for the day early...
In several hours playing DAI, I did not manage to advance the story... OR the exploration. Just messed around Skyhold and finished off Josie's personal quest.
That's it. In several hours.
I think it's called Beloved and Precious.
That's a really good point. I haven't gotten it yet either.
Just got the best Sera related party banter ever, and you got to join in. Had to share it with you guys! It's not spoilery, but I've spoiler tagged it just in case you wanna wait to witness it yourself. Also, dunno if it's already been posted or not.
Spoiler
Bull and Sera have some of the best banters. Blackwall and Sera are pretty awesome too earlier Blackwall finally admitted his fondness for Sera and her weirdness after she explained how she would embarrass a noble. The dialogue was pretty amazing if you ever want to try that combo. .Quite surprised that some people are having trouble getting banters and talk to trigger i've not had much silence they always have something to say especially Sera even if it's just a comment on what we are doing. Certain locations are hilarious with Sera and Iron Bull in tow especially when they involve demons.
Who bloody thought it'd be a good idea to have approval ratings you can't ****** see?
I have no clue whether or not I can have Sera's romance work out in this playthrough, and it's the most frustrating thing.

That's a pretty common gripe. I mean, we can see a meter for power, influence, experience and health, but an approval meter is too gamey? If there were no meters at all, that would be a fair (if frustrating) answer, but the approval meter is rather conspicuous in its absence.
The best way to know if you can trigger Sera's romance is to go talk to her each time you gain approval and select the 'I want to get together' option until a cutscene triggers.
It makes my character sound very desperate and creepy.

PC: So can we get together now?
Sera: Maybe later.

Sera: Ok!
Seriously? The lack of a storage chest/space is raising quite a few hackles too.

That, I figured out, but my problem is that I only have a limited number of opportunities to gain approval.
Do you need to keep raising approval to continue the romance path once you've started, or can you see it through to the end no matter what once you have started it?

I didn't get the romance achievement until the very last romance related cutscene was over, just a heads up - it might be like that for every LI or not. Not sure. Haven't romanced Sera yet, saving my qunari for her.
You know, before I started playing the game I was okay with the idea of no approval meter, but I think I've changed my mind. It's not been completely horrible keeping track in my head, but it would make life a bit easier to know how much I need to get with a character so I can get their personal mission and such.

You need to keep raising it. Some other progression seems based on story progression but not sure might just be approval. I think i found it easier later on since there are a lot more approval checks and the judgements help too since Sera will approve all of them if you handle them right though if you get a choice wrong it can really set you back. After you complete a romance based quest it may be locked in with max approval unless you break up with her but no idea.

I have a certain feeling that I'm boned, then, given that Sera hates anything related to magic or elves, and the decisions about them I've made thus far...
Do you know if you can get the last cutscene after the last quest?
I've been told that it warns you before going into the last quest that character missions/scenes won't be available anymore, but I haven't finished the game myself so this is just what I've heard through other people. Sorry, wish I could give a better answer. :/

I'm surprised you're even trying with Sera.
