Suffice it to say that I'm confused and conflicted. Despite the fact that Sera wound up proving all my worst fears and more about her (seriously, she's almost as bad as Fenris on magic, and actually worse when it comes to elves; who the hell would get mad at me for saying that I was going to be a good example for elvenkind, you lunatic woman?), I find myself strangely attracted to her nonetheless.
Oh yeah, I remember the 'example for elvenkind' comment. It's funny that if you play a qunari/dwarf and say 'example for qunari/dwarf' it will net positive approval for her.
I feel like Sera's hypocritical about some of her views on magic/elves (Dorian even calls her out on the magic thing by pointing out how she uses it in combat). I felt the same about Fenris, though his is a blind hatred of magic/mages whereas Sera's just scared shitless by it.
I still think it suits her character as it would be odd (and feel contrived) for her to be comfortable around magic and mages considering she's representing a viewpoint on magic that the common-folk of Thedas possess. She's also never worked with mages in her 'profession' though I wonder how she becomes a Tempest.
I still think she's an enjoyable character (and romance) as long as you're okay with her and your Inquisitor not always agreeing on things. Though, if you're playing a pretty hardline Dalish culture elfy-elf it's probably not going to work out.
