If they want asexual representation, include it. If they want the PC to ask the LI if said LI is fine with being in an asexual relationship, fine and dandy. But including this **** as some kind of time bomb waiting for those who don't read spoilers but who do consider sex to be a wonderful and vital part of the relationship? Had I not broken that vow, I'd have been caught by utter surprise, and nothing about that is fair.

I read it, and I still disagree (and I share your opinion on sex).
I do think it'd have been better to have the option to choose a sexual/asexual relationship with her and having a Fade to black scene or the sex scene if they didn't have the resources to do so. But I don't Personally see the problem with the actual Romance.

that's not it. that is something they preloaded on the disk. this was a software patch for the game of some sort. the first one and a minor one since it said 1.01.

So I'm almost at the last quest, and I've still yet to see a change in Solas and Cassandra's cards.... are there any particular reasons for that?

I'm actually disovering that Solas had quests for me that I've never gotten, asking around the Solas thread. No idea for Cassandra.

Yeah and I see her as someone who's been on her own for most of her life without any close friends/relatives/whatever.  I think that her somewhat odd way of talking can be attributed to how she probably hasn't had many 'normal' conversations with people.  Sera's beliefs seem to be coming from herself and what she's experienced as I don't think she has ever had much of a chance to have them tested against other people's beliefs/opinions (and have them possibly affect and change how she views the world).  I think that lends to her being close-minded on some of the topics she feels strongly about but not without cause (cause magic can be scary and a lot of politics is bullcrap that gets innocent people killed).

And despite all that, she appears to be unusually confident in what she says and believes. You would think a person who isn't socially experienced would be more inclined to be a reserved and introspective individual, yet Sera strikes me as anything but.

Seras "odd" way of talking is just to me a version of some rather hard to understand British dialect/slang with a heavy dose of ADHD.

Just finished the game. If anyone is wondering exactly how much interaction you'll have with Sera after the final quest:

One short conversation, then a special cutscene before the credits roll, then there's one last very short conversation you can have with her. Then that's it -- no more interactions at all. Roof time is over.

 

Also, if you're doing stuff with her, keep checking her book outside her room. It gets updated as things happen.

 

Kinda wish she had some more involved questing. Other characters will take you through every zone in the game or send you to a unique dungeon, but Sera's quests are very quick and simple. I suppose that's her thing, though... none of that usual RPG character baggage.

On the one hand, there is that. On the other... I'd really worry about their future together, at least with my elven Inquisitor, who wants to go back to her clan at some point, and definitely wants to see the elves restored to glory.

Agreed. But that's where growth happens-- or doesn't. Just because a relationship ends doesn't mean it was a bad relationship. While the "happily ever after" scenario is always preferred, I think it's perfectly reasonable to assume that the moment the Inquisitor decides that she needs to go back to her clan, Sera will be presented with an opportunity to expand her knowledge and learn about the culture that created the one she loves... or decide that she can't do that and break it off. By all accounts, I assume the latter would happen. But people can grow, and change in order to be closer to the person they cherish because that person is more important to them than their hang-ups.

 

I didn't know **** about professional dance before I met my first long term girlfriend, nor did I care about it. But it was important to her life. And she was important to me. I'm assuming everyone knows where I'm going with this.
