From those hints I've gotten about Arlathan, I have a feeling that things for us would crash and burn there.

 

It also kept feeling like she didn't want to be with an elf, especially with how tentative all of her responses to my flirting were. It honestly almost seemed like she'd been raped by a hahren or something.

She is reserved at first, true.  I think that its more about her not wanting to appear 'elfy' by being with another elf and she just likes them tall&muscular    But if you persevere and prove yourself innocent of being a nob (even if you are elfy ) She throws caution to the wind.

Regarding that Verchiel quest...

so my male Trevelyan got to this point yesterday. Instead of immediately killing that noble, he talked to him and Sera got more and more angry. Finally snapped and she beat the hell out of that noble. I picked the option to yell at her for interrupting the convo to see how she'd react. Got back to Skyhold and he apologized...she greatly approved. I picked that option because I cringed after seeing him yell at her that way and I did feel bad because i'd intended for her to kill that noble anyway. Trevelyan said something important: "we won't always agree but I'd like us to be friends". Man that line was needed in so many BioWare games. I cannot unsee this big bro/lil sis vibe between them.

This is not an excuse. Viv can be crazy in her opinions and yet she stays there. What about ppl who can't stand snob and arrogant people? Or religious ones?

What annoys me most is the fact that the option to tell Sera to leave is still there even at the end of the game (i still haven't finished it). Others when accepted, there's no option to tell them to go away, they stay forever.

 

 

Sera still has it. And that is very annoying and has me wondering: Why? Because she "might" get some ppl annoyed? So what? Vivienne can be annoying too, yet you can't have the option. Others can be annoyed by other characters too.

 

This has me thinking and it's so frustrating tbh.

I was really annoyed when I realized that at least one LI for all of the other "exclusive" romance options is directly tied to the plot and important to the story, but as for Sera, not only she's completely optional, but there's big reminder all the time whenever you speak with her how insignificant she is so you can kick her out whenever you want.
