Also I like to romance her with an Elf, seeing as I roleplay her with a rather low Dalish mannerism expect a few things here and there.

Strangely romancing her as a pro Dalish has worked out really well. I managed to evolve my character through that romance she's still Dalish and loves her people but while she started out very much not wanting anything to do with being involved with the Chantry and Andraste she's come to understand what Sera believes a bit more and accept it. Kinda helps that her beliefs avoid the more extremist elements of the Chantry. She's started to become more accepting in conversations about those things instead of outright either avoiding or just saying she believes only in Elven Gods and that she wasn't sent by Andraste.

Well the "wasn't send by Andraste" bit is something that works along Sera anyway. But yeah if you look at it this way, you can take this story and use it to show that even a Dalish elf can change their view and accept other people and beliefs aside their own.

I'm not sure where that dialogue option is or if i gave a different answer but while she's disapproved when i gave pro Elf answers and such i never lost her romance as long as i flirted when i could and got approval in other ways.

off topic: there is a song that sounds like the 80's somewhere on Inquisition's soundtrack. no idea the name and haven't dloaded the actual soundtrack yet. I hear it every time at a camp in The Hinterlands. I must know what this song is lol

I feel like she makes so many demands and needs so many reassurances from the Dalish Inquisitor.

I realise I didn't specify my Inquisitor's background in the former post, going to edit that.

I'm quite glad I roleplayed my Dalish Inquisitor as somewhat of an atheist, I'm not sure I would have wanted to stay in a relationship with her when she demands that you denounce your god - the core of her culture, everything she's been taught as a child - at least if I had role played her as a bit more of a traditionalist.

I felt like there needed to be a fight that was resolved in another manner; just having the options "ok" and "never" didn't seem fitting.

It's actually worked out really well for me playing as a pro-Dalish elf. That scene did kinda annoy me at first, but the more I thought about it, the more it worked. Sera couldn't handle the idea of the Maker AND the eleven gods both existing, so she needs some reassurance from the Inquisitor. I don't even think she realises that what she's saying is extremely offensive to a Dalish Inquisitor. So, to comfort her, my Inquisitor lied.

It went something like this for me:

Sera: Please, just say they were all demons and we can go back to being us?

*pause*

Inquisition: You're right, they were just demons and we don't need them.

The pause was the Inquisitor realising that Sera can't handle the idea that the eleven gods are real, it's too much for her. She took a breath, and decided to lie to her, almost like lying to a child to make them feel better.
So yeah, my Inquisitor didn't agree with Sera, but she lied for her. Or at least, that's how I interpreted the scene.

You know, I thought I'd be more upset. I don't know if I consider it a genuinely interesting plot development and piece of story, or if I just am used to Inquisition punching me in the face when it comes to romance.

The implication that these eleven "gods" aren't all they were cracked up to be is there, comes across pretty well in the Solas romance. Not sure about outside it.

Thank God all is not lost. Started making my way into Crestwood and captured my first Keep. Finally, the standstill has ended! What's pissing me off though is that demons seem to always be a higher level than me, no matter what! Fade rifts in The Hinterlands are an example of this. I couldn't do the last two because they were bending me over a table, so I wait, came back, and turns out, THEY ARE ALWAYS A HIGHER LEVEL THAN ME! Sucks major balls...

I continue to enjoy Sera's company. We got to the part my friend warned me about and I apparently had an option she did not.

I don't know how far I am in the game though. I have Skyhold but I haven't done any major quest after that.

Hey guys! My human warrior Inquisitor playthrough has been going very well! I got Skyhold finally today and after the nasty quest to free the soldiers in the swamp I finally had some real progress romancing Sera. I LOVE her little room in Skyhold! So pretty. 

So a question, I have a hard time not flirting with Josie as well although Sera is my main focus. But will flirting with Josie too much harm my chances with Sera? Will dialog options for Sera not appear if Josie like me too much? I need to stop leading her on, I know, I know. 

 

Also, when I got Skyhold and became the Inquisitor they gave me a sword to hold up in the cut scene. Do you guys still have that? It never showed up in my inventory.  My biggest problem so far is having a crappy sword and not finding anyone to sell me something good! I was hoping that sword would be better than the one I have but I don't know where it went.

I don't think you get it as an item, at least not from that cinematic. I played a daggers rogue though so I wasn't paying attention. It does reappear whenever you behead someone as a judgment though.

They'll still appear, but if you flirted enough to "lock in" the relationship with someone else, which sometimes occurs before you might expect, and then chat up Sera
