Haha, if we're really going to act as Sera would then it's time to start busting out the fisting jokes. Anyone know any good ones?
My ex is back on the bottle. She said fisting just wasn't the same.

Oh I'm quite aware, we've been catering to them since the dawn of time.
I've always been really confused as to who the friends of Red Jenny actually are. I mean I know they're some sort of street gang who does shady stuff but also works against criminals, but otherwise?
I'm guessing she'll know all about what goes on behind the closed doors of Orlais considering that they seem to have their fingers in a lot of pots. Maybe we'll get to hear about lots of exciting scandals from her.
Oh, you know she'd hear all sorts of juicy gossip. While I think her and Cassandra might not get along at first, I could see to two of them warming up to each other. Vivienne and Sera are going to fight like two wet starving cats in a bag, and I don't think that'll change at all in the course of the game.
I hear Fenris knows a great deal about fisting people.
I love the fact that "the fisting elf" can be used to refer to two different Dragon Age characters, quality entertainment this series is, truly.
To use a favorite meme of mine:
May we talk about her connection to Red Jenny and what means? Speculate on that perhaps? Let's just ignore what those outside of the thread have said about her and focus on her actual character.
I wonder if she'll have a small remark if Hawke cleaned up all the streets in DA2 and finished that side quest. Like how Kirkwall had few gangs and obstacles for the Friends if you finished up that quest.
I always found this line (from Act 2 I think) interesting. This is when you clean up all the gangs for that act and head to the Hanged Man to turn it in:
"We like a calm city to play in. Enjoy!"
Considering Sera's connection to the Red Jenny and the fact that they wanted Kirkwall cleaned up, I'd say their probably some sort of underground elven rights group.
Taking delight in other people's suffering is what the internet is all about. It is run by cats, after all.
Good to know. I used to like cats, they like to nap and don't take orders. Now i find out they indulge in fueling taking delight in others suffering.
Oh I'm quite aware, we've been catering to them since the dawn of time.
I have made my decision on who is more toxic.
She better freaking tell me who red Jenny is or I'm not taking her anywhere.
Seriously It's the third game I NEED TO KNOW.
If you can't understand why it's amusing to some that entitled whiny straight fanboys who usually get everything handed to them when it comes to game content in any video game, not just DA, are getting all huffy about the fact that Sera is a lesbian, and that people would celebrate that Bioware acknowledged that straight men can take a hit now and then when it comes to game content, I don't know what to tell you. Considering the response to her reveal was ranging from "this ruined the character" to "this ruined the entire game" in some parts, it's not surprising people would feel a tad vindictive.
And if you cant understand that a so called "whiny straight fanboy" has feelings that can get hurt too, then im not sure what to say to you.
Im not sure who is more toxic at this point. The people who are angry shes gay, or the people who are happy she isnt straight.
Trust me, queer gamers have dealt with a lot more than hurt feelings. While I'm not going to shut straight men down over their disappointment, the idea that the vocal few feel entitled to an option that has been given exclusively to another group for one of the very few times seems... well, laughable because gamers who identify as these social minorities have taken the same hits many times before.
It makes you look at that concept art in a whole new way and conclude Cassi is straight and also straight laced.
Judging from DAO and DA2, they are some sort of Rogue Guild.
She better freaking tell me who red Jenny is or I'm not taking her anywhere.

Maybe Sera is Red Jenny. ![]()

True that, though as I said in another thread, I'm not changing the title to "The Next Fisting Elf." ![]()
Hmm, which would tie her into the rest of the EU nicely. That makes a lot of sense. I wonder if there ever was a "Red Jenny" or if that's just a code name. It could be either or.
Maybe Sera is Red Jenny.
Or that. It would be interesting, given her red armor. However, I simply think she's not old enough. If my guess on her age is correct (around 22 years old,) that means she would have been around 10 years old during Origins. She could be a higher ranking member, much like Leliana is the ear (and sometimes mouth) of the Divine.

I'd kinda like it if it stay ambiguous. It'd be amusing, in a meta way, if Sera always remained vague about just what the Red Jenny were. Keeping their identity and goals somewhat mysterious adds to the intrigue.

Re: Vivivenne, I don't know, I know she is a little commie who hates everyone in power, but I can definitely see them bonding over being sick to death of the mage/templar war. Then again, so is everyone else in the group presumabely.
Maybe Sera is Red Jenny.
Didn't it say she was a member of the friends of red jenny? How are you a friend of yourself?
Let me ask you something.
If it was announced that she was a straight romance option, and a bunch of people started saying stuff like "Ha ha gays, you cant have her!!", how would that make you feel?
I'm not disturbed by people being happy shes a lesbian romance option. Im disturbed by the people who are delighted in the disappointment of other people.
Its more then just being disturbed in fact. I find those people to be quite revolting.
Point me to where someone said "haha straights you can't have her!!!" and then we'll talk about that
I haven't really seen anyone delighted by disappointed, more by the fact that we are getting a f!protag exclusive
This is the first time male protaga can't have a female LI out of possibly 6 total throughout the 3 games, sorry, the situations are not comparable at all.

That means they'll work together, but they can still hate each other. Like the characters Jack and Miranda in ME2. They were willing to work together to stop the Collectors, but until the Citadel DLC it was made very clear that the couldn't stand one another.
Didn't it say she was a member of the friends of red jenny? How are you a friend of yourself?
It helps keep your identity hidden. If there is an actual "Red Jenny," he or she would probably want to keep a very low profile.

Perhaps whoever is the most skilled is referred to as Red Jenny, giving the illusion to those who don't know of a seemingly immortal figure.
Kind of like how Liara took the mantle of Shadow Broker and only a few knew there was a difference.
Didn't it say she was a member of the friends of red jenny? How are you a friend of yourself?
Friends of Red Jenny is the name of the guild.

God, I know it's an old trope but I will always always love the Rag Tag Band of Misfits who would usually never under any circumstances work together teaming up for the greater good. Brings a tear to my eye everytime.
I can't w a i t for the snarky party banter.

Cole might not be...partly because he's already dead, and partly because I bet he's enjoying this open connection to the fade. But other then that, yeah I think we can presume that everyone is your party at least is just about fed up with the war. Wasn't it implied that the the big bad of the game is profiteering off the war or something?

I would direct you to Tumblr but I'm not that cruel and frankly, while there's good information to be found and sensible posts, it feels so crammed with unpleasentness that I just want to stay away from it.
I am curious to see if we'll learn what Red Jenny is because it bothered me so much that I couldn't find out in Origins.
Point me to where someone said "haha straights you can't have her!!!" and then we'll talk about that
A picture a few pages back with Sera drinking from a cup labeled "man tears".
Several other comments stating similar reactions the day she was announced as a lesbian option.
