I have a confession to make, I like Sera more because of her views of the Dalish.........I really don't like them. I prefer city elves.

To have an in game character to share our dislike of the dalish with? Also, to confirm that Qunari are the master race.

 

Sera considers poor humans and elves as equals. She doesn't distinguish between poor people by race.

I like romance her as an elf. She acknowledges my character elfyness and still overcomes the differences to loves my elf. That a plus point, we fight over our views sometimes but that's normal IRL. I'm sure not every couple has the same mind set.

 

So now she is a disgrace to lesbians because of her view is different. That's "viewist"!!

 

I'm not Christian, and I have met people who told me that I'm worshiping demons ( my ancestors ) before. Well, I guess that's their view. I really don't care and I'm not judging them. But some others will be offended by that. Life is hard enough to let those unimportant stuff bother you.

I've talked to plenty of Dalish, they sure fooled me. Not to mention the Dalish don't consider city elves to be real elves. They act as if wondering around aimlessly in the wilds makes them morally superior to city elves.

I think the main shame is that she was well positioned to have character growth. In her first Skyhold conversation she talks about looking to find out about, well I think it was mostly faith but it's something you can run with. Sera seems to want to be more, just runs away from it at every given

Prior to the whole cookie scene I was working under the assumption that she had been raised in or by the Chantry at some point in her life. She does make reference to "all this Chantry stuff filling up my head". For all of the good that the Chantry is supposed to do, but doesn't and all of the lip service paid to the Maker by a nobility that is oftentimes decadent and cruel causes her to become disillusioned.

So Sera goes off and does the whole Robin Hood shtick with the Friends of Red Jenny, but then the rumors about the Herald of Andraste start to circulate. Suddenly, all of that Chantry lore starts to seem like it isn't allegory but the truth, which in all reality would be a pretty terrifying thought to come to terms with. She's with the Inquisition because what's going on challenges the skepticism she's cultivated over the years and it offers her a chance to restore some of the faith she believed to be lost.

Granted, that never happened and she's kind of the party's bratty kid sidekick/comic relief but it's nice to dream.

I would have appreciated if her being a lesbian was actually addressed, because it never really is. She either turns you down if you're male or is on board with your flirts if you're female, but she never has an "I'm gay" moment like Dorian did. Also I was hoping in regards to the romance she would have been a little more mature and less cooky overall, but of course, she wasn't. I'm still bitter about Cassandra being straight, because her romance seemed like it was a great one, entirely what I wanted, nice blend of affection and seriousness, felt more like a true love kind of romance and less of a relationship of convenience, but alas...

For Artemis Challenge (Of Making her Avatar with the CC using an Elf or Human) . 

 

Guys , you need to take screenie of the Slider so she can copy them in her CC . Thats the whole point of this challenge ! She wanted to make her Avatar but can't do it . If anyone can Make it and she like the result..she will need the Slider stuff so she can make her in her own game . 

 

So keep that in Mind

I dont see why being a Lesbian has to be adressed in a game ? 

 

I mean...do peoples make a big deal of Cass being into mens ? or BlackWall....being into...hum..he is hetero right ? 

 

Or do you mean..like hearing a Past of some sort ? like...if she dated befor and such ?

Personally, I feel sabotaged and somewhat betrayed. And the worst part is that I still want to romance her for some unholy reason. I think this must be what it feels like to be a rivalmanced companion in DA2, and that just reinforces my opinion that the concept was horrible.
