I...actually had to reload pre-mythal to redo this. I just...couldn't leave Sera like that. So I scaled back my roleplay and played it through like my Lavellan was an unshakable superwoman and not someone who has just had a major religious experience. She begins that convo like the brat she is but by the end...

She's begging us to tell a comforting lie. She actually seems fully aware of what the quizzy thinks about it all but she just can't handle it and wants us, the one constant and truly loving person in her life, to just say the words so she can make herself believe the lie and stop her world from crumbling. Ever seen a child cling to their parent, wanting just to hear everything will be all right? That's what's happening here. With the foundations of her world crumbling, she's staring in to The Nothing (remember that bit?) and wants someone to pick her up and hold her and tell her it'll be alright and there are no boogymen under the bed. Even if it is a lie. Just so she doesn't have to face The Nothing anymore. And she looks so miserable saying all that stuff that I get the feeling she knows that what she says might hurt quizzy too.

So yeah. Goddamn the soft spot i have for people like her because i hate redoing entire sections so soon after completing them

But at least there is one less Sera crying when no-one is looking in the dragon age world.

d) She's in a state where that means herself crumbling. Completely. As in all the way.

We have to delve in to philosophyland to answer the question about nothingness. What she fears the most is standing at the edge of a cliff, looking down and seeing no bottom. Nothing to guide her, nothing that she can define and no-one to tell her if she should jump or go back. Having nothing to give her a purpose or motivation. She has defined her identity by ordering her world strictly around things that she thinks are immutable and absolutely true.Things that tell her this is right and this is wrong and give her goals. Ironic, but understandable considering her deep insecurity. Anything that challenges those things cause her deep existential despair which she simply isn't equipped to handle. Thus anything that even remotely challenges her world is stupid and anyone who thinks otherwise are stupid and stink of halla. Demons she has been told about probably all through her life and though they are scary, their existence actually re-enforces her world because they have always been part of it as 'evil'.
While she isn't a child physically, emotionally she very much is just that and that is why i just can't judge her as an adult. Where we can mentally deal with stuff that threatens our world views (though i dare say no-one is prepared to have their gods walk up to them and say 'hi'), she is no more capable of it than an average 10-year old. Yes, this makes the relationship between her and quizzy kinda weird but...these things happen.

Ok I went back and played the Sera romance differently and am completely in the romance. Just got done with the fade and the conversation afterword about what happened in the fade and I get nothing about a marriage comment am I mistaken that it's in this conversation.

Different convo. It's not long after but she was scared of the Fade and what she saw so you help her through that and later she'll be upset about something else and the marriage comment is in that which basically locks in her romance. There should be a romantic personal quest too before it if you have not had that yet

I had the "I'm alive. Really... Alive!" line after I killed the Fereldan Frostback in the Hinterlands, but now I killed six dragons (randomly found the Gamordan Stormrider, the electricity dragon) and haven't heard anything else from her on the topic.

 

Hmm. Gonna go back to the Emprise, I guess. One more dragon left there. Then the Storm Coast one... That's eight total, the slain ones plus the ones I know about... One should be left in the Western Approach... Wonder where the tenth is.

I can scratch numbers 1,3,4,5,7 and 8. Have exact locations of numbers 2 and 9... (In fact, number 2 is my next target once I solve things around Skyhold)

That leaves numbers 6 and 10. Number 10 takes priority, as it's in an area I've unlocked, unlike 6.

I just had a War Table mission that mentioned Argent, the Assassin from MP.

That's Neria the Keeper walking the garden and Argent the Assassin on the War Table so far.

Completely irrelevant if you're ignoring MP, nice touch if you're not. Just the way they said.

*edit* I should note that Blackwall has absolutely sucked for me from a combat perspective. I equipped and built his trees nearly identical to my Trevelyan's and he still dies too soon. How the hell is he a warden?!?

Killed my fifth dragon today. Playing on casual, ridiculously over leveled and exploiting the duplication glitch to craft the best armor and weapons.

 

On spotting the dragon, what did Sera say?: We're getting a closer look, yeah?

 

Post battle, nobody went down. What did Sera have to say about this? Big heroes, us. That was fun, yeah?

I love that we get acknowledgement for this stuff. And I don't care that I'm cheating. I love cheating. It's part of the fun for me.
