Just his general laid back attitude. I kinda am surprised as well that he cared.

I don't see how is Laid back attitude means that he'd be fine with a whole village being slaughtered.

What did exactly Varric do or say in DA2 to lead you to believe that he'd be fine with not preventing a village being annihilated?

Well his entire character that was saying i don't care he was more intrested in profit than in helping peoples unless they were his friends...

I'd feel pretty evil if I just walked by a bunch of burnt corpses and was all like

 

"meh didn't know them anyway lol"

 

But that's just my way-too-sensitive opinion.

That's not about merely 'helping people'. It's about dozens (if not hundreds) of people being killed while we had a chance to stop it. There was nothing in DA2 suggesting he would be fine with this type of action.

That's not about merely 'helping people'. It's about dozens (if not hundreds) of people being killed while we had a chance to stop it. There was nothing in DA2 suggesting he would be fine with this type of action.

I don't renember him crying over killing mages in fact he was more eager to help templars he seemed more practical so i could see da 2 varric going for keep instead village neither he showed any concern about anyone outside his friends...

To be honest im disappointed with companions for now no one intresting as far every companion seems dull and when they try put less serious like here we have manchild jester... i hope in game they will be more interesting than now or companions were in da 2...

That depends on what is meant by not caring.

 

That could range from anything from just being apolitical (as in not taking a side in the Mage/Templar conflict) to being a sociopath who is completely without empathy for the suffering of others. The latter would fall into most peoples' definition for evil, the former would not.

Only one that pops is baldy the elf. Maybe Vivienne but she seems to be an enemy. I must convert her to my philosophy.
