Yep, I think I'm just going to delete the game and create the same character and try again. This game just doesn't seem to work like everyone else's. I'm glad you can get approval doing regular quests because it was a pain going through the area's just to get power. The side quests seemed unimportant because I wasn't getting approvals.

Actually, one other reason I feel a bit bad about romancing Sera as an elf is that she's clearly more physically into qunari... so I'll most likely romance her as one of those.

Considering she tries to be a little elfy if you romance her (read her diary) this whole ma vhenan isn't that bad. Especially if you rib her about her giving you a petname too. Besides she only minds if you're "too elfy"
@Xilizhra: I've already given up on playing as a Qunari because it's pretty obvious that a Human or Elf Inquisitor are way more ingrained into the plot than Dwarf or Qunari (and Qunari were obviously even more of an afterthought if all these camera angle errors are anything to go by)

My apologies for not being active as of late, but the game is sucking out every second of free time I have.
To Danielle: you might have encountered a bug, because I've definitely got approval for minor sidequests (like, hunting meat and giving it to refugees and so on).
I also apparently got two big bugs: the voice change after meeting a certain someone and the "no music/very little banter" one.
Luckily I like both voices, but the missing banter/music is a bit frustrating.

Try turning Origin into Online mode. Banters are supposedly fixed by now... and I haven't seen you on in a loooong time

Maybe I'm weird, but I feel the opposite. I really liked the romance with an elf and feel pretty 'meh' about it with a qunari.

Human is pretty obvious because of the Herald of Andraste thing. Elf became obvious to me once
@jlb: Falling in love with an Elf (Or Human/Dwarf) even though Qunari are more her thing makes it more meaningfull if you ask me.

To be fair, the game is set in Orlais and Fereldan, not the Tevinter Imperium, Par Vollen or indeed the Deep Roads... There is a lot of human politics involved, with a side-serving of elven magic and Briala's revolutionaries. I'd imagine that some future game set in the north will be much more Qunari-centric. How does Iron Bull's stuff play out if you are Tal Vashoth? Is it no different?
Does Sera ever flirt first with anyone besides a fem qunari? I kinda want to play an elf who pretends she has no interest in Sera at first.

That's because I've decided to play on pc once some of the bugs get fixed. 
For now, I'll continue my first playthrough on 360 and see how it goes. ^^

I very much doubt they got it from "arts". The lines of her liking qunari were already there i think. Only Lukas can confirm this though.
