Well, shoot. I don't really like doing that to prisoners...

Any sidequests in places like the Exalted Plains or Fallow Mire?

Believe me, being "spiteful" is not as bad as it could be. It's actually sometimes rather funny or very fitting for the person you do it to.

Which ones give Sera approval?

I'm not sure, but I *think* the Sky Watcher decision in the Fallow Mire affects her approval.

People hate Sera with a passion.

I think I'll confine myself to the thread.

Too much risk of going fission at them.

Actually, I think I've changed my mind again and will go for Josephine.

I say this because... I'm at a total loss for things for my Inquisitor and Sera to do in their spare time, whereas while Josephine is... somewhat lacking in onscreen interaction, it seems like we could talk about a lot more.

Josephine sadly doesn't deliver what I wanted. (Watched the romance when a friend played the game) But hey, each their own.

One of my friends is playing through the Josie romance and thinks its super cute, but to each their own. I actually got super bored with Cullen's cavity inducing romance and I imagine Josie's is similar, so I am more intrigued by the complexity of Sera.

I love angst and pain (with non lesbian relationships ) so I picked well for my first romance, let's just say.

but my point was less that it was awful and more that if Sera had said it, she'd be torn apart.

Like it happens now on tumblr and here, one line and everyone is up in arms about it. ;)

Josephine has booty, just not onscreen. I was most displeased by it as well, but personal compatibility ultimately trumps onscreen boobs.

Yeah but, uh, I was kinda excited for brown on screen booty if you will.

Also her personality was a bit "boring" if you will, but hey enjoy yourself :)

By boring you mean well adjusted? :P

In Origins and DA2 all the LIs were messed up in some way. Most of them are in Inquisition, except Josephine. She's a healthy, balanced individual who knows what she wants to do and how to do it. That makes her romance feel a bit empty because everybody else has heavy emotional baggage. Sure, she has that problem that shows up, but it's not quite on the same level as, say, Sera's or Iron Bull's personal quests.

I like Josie well enough in that "gigglesquee" kind of character she seems to be under the polite facade.

But I think I'm saving her for a male human warrior, like, "the ideal noble romance" playthrough :P

Yeah kinda.

And I'm with Dale here, I think I'll reserve her for a male playthrough anyway.

Now on a slightly related note. Is it just me or is the battle music that plays during the second half of In Your Heart I Shall Burn missing from the soundtrack?

You know the one they also used for the Character Creator trailer.

Sometimes well adjusted can be done wonderfully, like Garrus. I hope Josie's gives me more of that feeling, when I get to it. :)

Cullen's was boring to me because it felt so sweep off your feet cliche goopy rainbow barf. I would have probably enjoyed that level of saccharine with a lady romance, because how delightfully rare, but for a het one, whatever, I can watch a hallmark commercial for that.

...I am not trying to be harsh on Cullen, I know people went crazy for it, and I'm happy for them, but. Lmao. Not for me.

Garrus was hardly without baggage in ME1 and 2. It took him three games to be adjusted.

It is nice to have a character who doesn't have personal heavy baggage, that seems to be Bioware's MO with most of their characters

As an administrative professional who (not so secretly) collects dolls, and often feels like the caretaker to my family, I really do feel Josephine...however, not in a romantic way.  There are some male characters I find way less attractive, but I'd do their romances first just because they feel more plot relevant (I'm sure Solas would feel *so* flattered that I am approaching a romance with him in such a dispassionate way).

As for Cullen, I'm glad he was an option, and personally, I much prefer "safe" male love interests to ones that provide angst and drama.  It feels like they tried very hard to make him inoffensive to most, after being divisive, and I understand why that's not as much fun for some folks, but I'm done with drama when it comes to men, at least in my video games, lol.  I also like to think about the well being of my characters after the game is over, even if Bioware wants to ruin that for me every time.

One of the reasons I'm putting off a Sera playthrough is that I want to create a character who can run off with her in the end and have a happy ending.  I feel like more grounded Inquisitors would have a tough time with that.  I just wish I could make an Inquisitor who was as goofy as Sarcastic Hawke.  I feel like Sarcastic Hawke and Sera could really hit it off.

More or less. Arguably in ME3 it's Shepard with the issued and Garrus filling in the shoes of what we as the players usually do, the emotional crutch.

I saw brown booty in my game, btw.

...because I made my Cadash brown, and romanced Blackwall. You don't see him naked, but you see her naked...which was an odd choice. Not like ANGRY WHY...but considering the amount of nudity Cullen (especially him because your character is fully dressed while he's completely naked) and Dorian had, surprising.

Go full on middle choice mode. There are some deliciously sarcastic lines the Inquisitor can pull off. Some of them aimed at Sera as well.

I feel like it sort of compromised Cullen's character...not like they did a terrible job or that he was OOC, but he could have been much more interesting. And even still been a "sweet" romance. I'm not a huge Cullen fan though, or someone who is terribly invested in drama-free het relationships (love me some man tears), so I'm absolutely willing to say "not for me" and be happy for people who liked it.

I will say though....Blackwall can end very happy. He did for me at least. I loved that his relationship had all kinds of angst and drama but also ended up pretty happy and well adjusted in the end. Best of both worlds for me.

Altho, tbh...my favorite romance so far I think is Dorian's. And I have never enjoyed playing a male character before. I just adore Dorian.

(Still saving Sera & Solas for later, since they are the ones I'm most interested in, lol)
