Also, she represents "little" people like servants and workers. These poor folk don't get enough recognition among these big conflicts like mages vs templars vs orlesians vs tevinterians vs demons etc. So, thanks for that too

I like that Sera doesn't like being "too elfy". Usually this fandom sees dalish elves as the only ones who bite other elves, but hey, this time it is a city elf. Thanks Bioware for breaking a stereotype

Dalish can also be pretty condescending towards what she refers as little people too, so it makes sense. Nevermind how they view city elves.

We must spread the word of Sera to all four corners of the BSN!
And by the time we're done, a new religion will be born!

The approval for helping "little" people is so weird.
Like, in the beginning, you get approval from Solas for helping the refuges not Varric or Sera? That one struck me as strange, and also frustrating, because if there is one character I didn't need to ever farm approval from, it was Solas
(maybe next PT I'll ****** him off but it's so easy to be his bestie for me, shrug)

You get approval with Sera. That's why, when I started the new character, I got Sera before doing anything but talking to the Sister, then got enough power from closing rifts to go to Val Royeux, recruited Sera and helped the refugees.
Telling those cultists to help the refugees for example nets you approval for Sera. You just gotta have her along I think.
And Varric approval farming is easy enough by shattering the Lyrium.

Sounds good. This name is certainly to be considered by the greater council of Original Seranaders.

I have no time for people putting whole cultures into blackvswhite categories
Just want to point out why Sera is not so keen on them.
I personally think they are interesting, but it's more interesting for Lavellan to get a bit estranged from her culture after hanging with everyone from the Inquistion and talking with Minaeve (who has some choice words to say about the Dalish).

I could never do that. My Inquisitor is sad for Minaeve, but only really remains with the Inquisition out of necessity (and, ultimately, Josephine); she can do more good for the Dalish in this position.

You do get approval from her with the refugees??? I didn't. Weird. Okay, I'll try it again this time, maybe it was just a glitch or something.
(I didn't have a problem getting anyone's approval up to friendship level, btw, but it just struck me as strange. Maybe Varric does give approval for that too and I missed it. I Loved it when Cass gave approval for returning that woman's wedding ring. What a softieeeee :3)
I love the Dalish, but I'm more frustrated with the way the overall series treats them than Sera. Her perspective makes enough sense to me, from what I've seen.

I can point out why they are not much fond of city elves too, or humans. You think badly of the dalish, I think badly of people who stereotype them. But what does it matter? Nothing. Personal opinions, worthlessJust want to point out why Sera is not so keen on them.

Again. If you dislike Dalish, that is not my problem, dalen. I came here to praise Sera and her role, not get into a debate

First or Hunter?
Because I think that can actually make a lot of difference. Just look at how isolated Merrill was from the clan even WITHOUT her use of blood magic just because she was their Keeper's First. An person who has been rather isolated before might have a bit more appreciation of things outside. Also, of course, all the anti-Dalish smack talk you get from Solas alone.
@Chari: You're putting words in my mouth. I never said I disliked them. They are in a grey zone, like a lot of other people too, nothing more. I see their positives too.

Me too. Dalish and GWs appear to be new templars/qunari. Lots of weird retcon and scrapegoating even by the devs themselves

Do you really get a lot of them? My Dalish elf had one talk with him about it where he was kind of a jerk, but then later he apologized and said he should reconsider how he feels about them, if they produced someone like her. I'm not through that PT yet though. I imagine he has...things to say later....
(Man Solas is really good at making you feel like a special snowflake. He told my dwarf she wasn't like the other dwarfs blah blah. I wonder what he says to a qunari.

Eh, I thought they were scumbags ever since the very beginning. (the dalish and the wardens I mean). People tend to put these groups on the pedestal, but I only see them for what they do and the things they believe. And in all honest, they are just jerks hiding behind good intentions.

Ok well not THAT much, but then again I didn't say the right things to have him apologize to me either so there's that.
...
Also I got disapproval with him by being in a relationship with Sera. Just found that funny enough to mention it.
@Jaison: The Wardens are, as the name implies, a rather gray people anyway. They are, like the Legion of Orzammar, based on the Night's Watch from ASOIAF, and those weren't honorable people either. A lot of them are just people who joined up to save their asses. The whole thing with Alistair in Origins kinda shows how some of the people have an idealized look on them when we can see, very early in the game, that Duncan too is ready to be a right jerk if it helps them. Mahariel is forced to join, as is Cousland.

Ummm every conversation I've seen regarding the Wardens have people fully acknowledging what they do

Mage. And she's quite interesting in things outside, but still considers herself wholly Dalish and simply occupying the station of Inquisitor.
