On Sera, tomorrow I'll do her companion quest.
Unlocking those quests is a bit weird though. While Not (probably) negative, Sera's approval wasn't that high when I unlocked it (expecially because of the mage choice I made).

Does anyone know if the cookie scene comes after you pull pranks on your advisors? I must not have been high enough approval to trigger it. I seem doomed to being at relatively low approval rating with some of the characters I loved the most from the game (Cole & Sera, namely).

But Cole gets Approval, even when he's not there! Unless it's a bug... that's probably a bug...

I've successfully slain 2 dragons on nightmare difficulty. I feel so happy.

 

But it must have got to me because I thought I could kill The Vinsomer in Storm Coast... He destroyed my ego with a few bites and a couple of tail flaps...

Sera keeps dying very quickly for me. The only one in my soiree who can take on a dragon is Cass, and that is because she is a Pentaghast... and has a consistently maxed out guard.

The one in the Hinterlands only did it to protect her babies, you know this right? Mother's instinct. You trespass, you're there to kill her litter, no question.

I usually have Sera start with Flask of Frost since it sucks and I'm only trying to get close and then hit the dragon with Mark of Death while she uses Flask of Lightning to turn her into a machine gun before finishing with Flask of Fire and Thousand Cuts but not before detonating Mark of Death first.

I actually run with three Rogues come dragon time since Varric leeches off of Sera during Flask of Lightning to keep spamming Full Draw.

My method isn't fool proof though since a party of Rogues is always one misstep away from dying and I've wiped out more than once.

Eh, I thought they were scumbags ever since the very beginning. (the dalish and the wardens I mean). People tend to put these groups on the pedestal, but I only see them for what they do and the things they believe. And in all honest, they are just jerks hiding behind good intentions.

Nah dude, the Tempest spec is comically OP in the right hands.

Knight Enchanter is more versatile and easier to use but if you want to make things die, Tempest reigns supreme.

They all seem pretty good. I have a feeling it's templar. IB and Blackwall with their specs suck compared to Cass with Templar. Bare in mind, that's nightmare difficulty, and all off them have the best gear I can possibly give them.

I can't even finish Weekes' book because his image of the dalish is so... biased and caricature that is unacceptable for such a highquality book. And frankly some DAI lore revelationsjust contradict previous lore. Where were these Seconds before? Did Lanaya lie when she said there was an actual competion for a First role? Were others mages kicked out by Zathrian and if so where is his Second?
DAI GW plot is a plain headscratch

 

Lanaya is not the only Mage in that clan.

The Halla herder is also a Mage.

There are no "Seconds" in Dalish clans.

I'm afraid I can't help much Nharia since I suck at building warriors, this may be more Poodle's thing.
But my impressions of the warrior specializations based on party members are as follows:

Champion is the best for tanking, especially once you get Walking Fortress.
Blackwall has proven as hard to kill as Aveline for me.

Templar is pretty underrated IMO since it can set up and set off detonations while providing buffs against demons.

Reaver is my favourite but I die all the time using it, so it's best I leave it to others to explain this one.
