He does have a nice ass.

As a straight man...

I have to admit that if a woman had to choose between him and me...

The only reason I'd win is... well, you know.

Long story short, the man's very handsome.

No sir, I don't know. Please, do tell.

Do you have a Trojan horse?

His personal quest was such an eye-opener. I loved it in every way imaginable, despite it being like 5 minutes long.

I agree.
I really liked Bull's quest as well.

Today I got Sera's comment on my KE spec. I choose the 'scaaary' option :P.

Dorian is such a fine man.

And he, Sera and IB are one of the teams with the best banters.

It's funny because prior to launch, I was always meh towards Dorian. He didn't sound interesting at all to me.

Now, having actually seen and interacted with him in my game, he's undoubtedly one of my favorites.

You may not like what most people say here but it doesn't mean they cannot say it. whether they SHOULD is a different matter altogether. As i typed before, there is far too much privilege here and it is plain to see when i see the term "sjw" thrown around like it's actually a bad thing...like how is warring for the right of any people a negative? i digress on that. I let a LOT of things fly on this board unless it's something that is absolutely reprehensible. I pick my battles. Because if I were to start in on how comfortable people are with calling Viv a ****** and she is the only black woman in the game or for that matter why they even wrote her that way...you get me? I'm not happy about that at all actually. But it isn't a war i'm prepared to fight. Not yet.

This thing with Sera is bothering me immensely. All forms of representation in this game for me are being attacked HOURLY. Do you even...can you even imagine...just...this is all I have to say on the matter...and it isn't saying much.

I haven't seen anyone call Viv a ******. Except my brother but he is black so it's borderline.

Then you must be blind. because I saw several people in here do it. And I actually agreed with them because that's how she was written. I take issue with the fact that she was written this way. That's a trope that black women face daily. But again...I'm not warring about that. not yet.

Are we talking about the n-word? The racist slur? Or am I ignorant and just think this is what is being implied?

The trope lies with how people react to her, not how she was written. If she had the exact same characteristics but was white people would probably still dislike her her but more would respect her. Because she's black, her ambition is seen as being a ******, which is dumb on the part of the people judging her, not the writers. Having ambition tends to make any women get labeled as bitches anyway...

poodle you're not reading anything i'm typing bruh lol. I'm talking about the stereotypical trope of the bitchy black woman. that's how they wrote her. and if the writer is not black, because idk, she would not understand that aspect. she probably envisioned Viv as powerful and absolute or something. And she is that. I don't wanna hijack Sera's thread. i'll end this line of discussion. Another time, perhaps.

But back to Sera...still representation is questionable.

Now the game is out, we've lost the ability to speculate. Without that, we have resorted to tearing each other apart.

I've got no idea what you people are talking about but this is my first post in this topic and I only wanted to say how much I like Sera.

That is all. :)

I'm NOT hijacking Sera's thread for this. I regret even typing the little I did. My PM is open always if you wish to discuss this further. At least I think it is...idk how to forum sometimes.

Don't kid yourself people were just as willing to tear into each over speculation before launch. Still are if the last few pages are any indication.

It's getting out of hand because people keep trying to win this battle. Why can't we just lower our guns, set down our gun powder, put out the fuses and all have a pint.

I have, at least. Well actually I'm having a glass of wine right now.

i accidentally erased the end of your quote there but...this is not it...at all. people have issues with Sera's character. They typed about it. That's what we said we'd do when the game came out right? Talk about her more instead of being off topic. I think what makes this polarizing is that the Sera we envisioned....well she doesn't match up to all of it...and for some, none of it. It's unpleasant but I think these discussions are necessary.
