Hello, Crimson. We just determined that Sera's probably transphobic--well, not "just," but it's been a recent topic of discussion.
Umm, there is no "we" the recent discussion of that pretty much says so
And can we not try to bring it back up pls

Sadly, no, I can't try. I believe that this needs to be hammered into the developers' minds.
yes maybe tomarrow its happy hours cause crims is backUmm, there is no "we" the recent discussion of that pretty much says so

Hello, Crimson. We just determined that Sera's probably transphobic--well, not "just," but it's been a recent topic of discussion.
Well, were Sera not incredibly obnoxious elsewhere, the impact may have been lesser, but as-is, everyone has a laserlike focus on Sera's faults (also, no one else makes a similar comment).
But she literally just says, "He's a she". That's it. There's no malice or hatred when she's says it either, its just an observation. At no other point in the game does she even mention anything possibly related to transphobia of any kind. Furthermore, that comment was just one in a list of other things she says about the nobles about how they tend to hide who they are when going to fancy parties. How do you get transphobia from that? If I just told one of my friends that my cousin was gay would that make me homophobic? I'm seriously asking here because I'm very confused right know.
Actually Solas and Sera had some nice conversations about the way Sera could feel some strange things because she was a elf.
Overall I find both Solas and Sera really close on opinions regarding the modern dalish, they of course have really different approaches to it. He is also one of my favorites, I still regret not doing his romance first with my dalish because in the end I did make my character break up with Sera. The way I was RPing my first PT, my character would never disprove of her culture but she could found a middle ground, of course with Sera that is not an option.

Context of the rest of the statement, which is full of all things repulsive.

"interesting" yeah lets go with that XDHey Crimmy!
I'm glad you enjoyed the game! I'm still not finished but it's been... Interesting in here recently.
yes maybe tomarrow its happy hours cause crims is back
I'd rather not, since the whole thing with Sera is apparently turning into a witch hunt against the writer

Heavy sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... I done with this topic, if people want to be even more transphobic go head.

I admit, I'd very much like to call him to account.

And trying to brand people who has a different interpretation of what Sera says is wrong

Really? Yeah, their all secrets that you may not want to tell people but their not repulsive in my opinion. Also, that doesn't mean that Sera finds thouse repulsive it just means that Orlesian society may have them in low regard.
If Sera was supposedly transphobic wouldn't she say something to Krem whose literally a floor beneath her living space. Or perhaps she would bother Iron Bull about his transsexual friend. That never happens through. Sera has been proven to be the kind of person whose going to be honest and blunt about things she doesn't like and I would think the same would be true if really didn't like transpeople.
Lukas doesn't need to answer to anything. It's awesome that he has popped in to clarify on occasion, but that's not something we should expect nor demand of him.
Let's keep the dialogue about that respectful, okay guys? I have really enjoyed his sporadic insights and would love to hear more down the road...probably best if we just discuss the text, not him.
Well, there's only so many ways to say "Sera is a wretched excuse for representation" to each other.

Very few bigots act bigoted towards everyone of the target group. They're frequently selective.
wait til tomarrow bro
But I'm confused right know and need answers desperately! If don't get them today I'm going to be thinking about this all night. ![]()
* gives torch and pitchfork* if your serious you'll need this XDI admit, I'd very much like to call him to account.

I was very close to calling it off, but like I wanted to see how it would end and the "please buckles" sad pleading kinda weakened my initial rage. Had to swallow that pride a lil. Ha liked Solas saying it was only natural that Sera was drawn to another of her kind, lol her response to that, Solas buddy it wasn't easy. ![]()

And there lays the main problem IMO
These characters are not meant to be put on a pedestal of representation, they are meant to be characters
go back 6 pages you'll see whyBut I'm confused right know and need answers desperately! If don't get them today I'm going to be thinking about this all night.

That doesn't sound like Sera though. She hates fade creatures regardless of whether their helpful spirits like Cole. And she hates Elfy stuff even if her love is devoted to the Dalish religion. Being selective would imply that's willing to be flexible in her morality and prejudices, she's obviously not.
Well if you've already said it and have nothing else to say, then maybe you're done here, Xil? I don't mean that in a harsh way, I like you a lot! But if you've run out of things to talk about regarding how you don't like Sera, then perhaps not much left for you in the thread.
it's designed for Sera discussion, after all!
No. For one thing, the Josephine thread has too many people I'm at odds with in it. For another, we can possibly discuss hypothetical solutions for Sera's issues in the future, reasons why Sera might act as she does, whether Cassandra would have been better as the lesbian option, etc.
