That seems to be the way with DA games. I didn't find the Archdemon or Meredith to be particularly tough fights compared to others in those games.

But he didn't even feel like a bad guy.

The Archdemon in DA:O felt like an evil God who would destroy the world.

Meredith was clearly crazy, though to be fair, I feel the game should have finished with the Arishok - he was more of an unknown.

And now Coryphenus, who didn't feel bad at all. I get the feeling he has paved the way for something a lot more darker.

I failed to get the "Belle of the Ball" achievement, and "On Burning Wings" is related to a choice that I made differently - and playing on Normal, even though my balls are made of pure Silverite, I can't even get THOSE Achievements!

I SHOULD be able to get all but four achievements on my first playthrough, though. I mean, the fact I still do not have Dragons' Bane is because of a bug, and I can still get Regal and Master Alchemist (Yes, while crafting an armor for Sera yesterday, I got the crafting related achievement)

The Big M or The Guardian? (I spoiled myself of that particular achievement the moment I completed the story)

I went with The Big M. The Guardian is the one that gives the achievement. Really annoying, you get the same thing pretty much.

The Big M gets injured in the process and you need to mop up though.

I think The Guardian doesn't. Or maybe he does.

That whole mop up process was another piece of cake encounter.

Paving the way for something darker is all Dragon Age ever does, delivering on that not so much.

Origins introduces the world, while using the Goonspawn as stock baddies for more interesting things to happen in the background, Awakening hints at far more to the Goonspawn than anyone thought, DA2 sets up the Mage Templar shindig, Corpheus, Grey Warden conspiracies, and Red Lyrium.

Are achievements actually important to you guys? They are entirely peripheral to my gaming experience. I sometimes get slightly annoyed if I don't get one when I think that I should have, but that's about as far as it goes.

When I platinum a game, I feel like I deserve a cold beer.

I don't even know what that means. Is it a console thing?

With playstation, when you get every trophy in a game, it rewards you with a platinum. The trophies go Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Platinum is like thee symbol of greatness.

Kindof . Getting 100% achievements is fun. Those little logos... And that little 'beep boop' sound is so... satisfying!
