yeah humans seem the most lore friendly PTSera + elf is still my favorite way to go as far as romance goes.
I'm probably crazy though.
Ultimately, I prefer playing the story as a human since it seems to fit in better with the themes.

Yeah:
- Use tactical camera like your life depends on it
- If you are unsure of a fight, save! (I have tons of saves on my play through)
- Find a party that works for you and stick to it as best you can. Inter-change them when needed but the basis of you're tactics should boil down to what party members you are using and the abilities they use
- If it becomes to difficult (first case for me was battle at Haven, couldn't turn the trebuchet without dying) reload a save and level up. (One level can make all the difference.)
- Upgrade your potions and gear as often as possible. Try and get all the upgrades for the Health and Regeneration potions as soon as possible, they will really help as you get further into the game.
Basically that is the gist of it. I would say it would be easier if it was your first play through, but because it isn't, patience is critical. Don't get half way through the game and feel you can't go any further, there is always something you can do to progress further which is probably much easier.
I'm not the best at giving advice with things like this. But what I have put down, it can be very useful.
Wait... What? Everyone doesn't play like this? ![]()
(That was a joke, but I can't play any other way.)

I always had a suspicion that human would be the most fitting race to this story. The whole thing about Andraste's Chosen and whatnot just sounds like it was written with a human Inquisitor in mind first and foremost.

I had always planned on playing as an elf who was questioning her beliefs from the start. That was why she jumped at the chance to go to Haven; She wants to understand all she can about other cultures, and she's beginning to doubt that anyone has it 100% right...

That and they have the best reason to even be at the Enclave (especially human mage).
Not sure why the elf Inquisitor's Keeper would even send them to spy in the first place...it's risky and I'm sure there are other ways to find out what happens at the Enclave.

Doesn't feel like it. It seems like they added several locations, just to make the game look bigger. Still love the game, but I do feel unsatisfied with the main story being so short and disconnected. The time spent adding those huge locations like Hissing Wastes could have been spent on making more main story missions filling in lots of gaps or generally making it look like your army is an actual army and not a ragtag group of misfits and some people who follow along for the ride.

Seems you had it more planned out than me...
I was always on the "Let's not plan anything, improvisation ftw, and Creators know if my plans will be possible in the game"
Turns out, it worked out juuuust fiiiine.
And post 2000! Celebrations imminent!

it sorta rubs me wrong that she was written that way. she didn't need to be pro-Dalish but that right there...strange. I'm waiting to see how she reacts to Kradeche. Cause even though she appears to lust hard for fem qunari, if she is selfish, Kradeche WILL call her out on it.

Crimmy! I haven't seen the introduction to the advisors as a Dwarf either. I'm curious what Josephine says to a Dwarf.
She comments on the Qunari being tall, uses an elven greeting and just says 'I've heard much' to a human. I don't know what Sera says to a Dwarf either...

religion is a common cause of break ups. It happensI couldn't romance her with Neriya. Just the initial reaction when we first met let me know there was no way I would put my character through that. I'm use to compromise in a relationship...you do it more often than not. But if someone asks you to compromise a part of yourself that they know is important to you, that isn't love...that's control. And it's also very selfish. Happiness is a collective. Neriya isn't super elfy(or fit the stereotypes) but she didn't deny her Dalish heritage. Spoke elven to Solas often because she missed her clan.

Or a qunari. I have no idea what business the qunari would have there (unless it's stated in-game, but I wouldn't know since I haven't played as one).

I found myself wondering where my Qunari assassin learned to use a rapier. Or why he didn't cheat, seriously what kind of Rogue fights fair?
