Because what she is stole my romance slot.
Shhhh, Sera isn't real. She can't steal from you.

I presonally don't find anything grating about her... more like i have the sads that she's... untouchable, mentally. Like, my quizzy can't talk with her about things she's bothered.
Frig, if Sera was my gf i would've done anything to help her figure out the problems. She just shuts away the inquisitor (especially one who romanced her) and goes back to fun.... even Isabela who had trust issues in romance, we sat and talked through this. Sometimes relationships aren't 100% fun, there are problems as well.
The scene where Sera freaks out after the fade mission was good, needed more scenes like this but with her issues overal. I wanted to know her more.
Okay that's fair enough, I can sympathise with disappointment and I'm sorry that she didn't click with yo. I disagree with how much it is being exaggerated though!
I will agree that it is odd that she can be booted at any time too, but I wouldn't be so quick to say that is evidence that they thought she would be unlikeable.
I don't think I'm exaggerating, why was she the only companion to have that special boot treatment throughout? Why not Dorian, why not Bull etc. Her pranks and off the wall nature shouldn't be enough reason to warrant that axe option over her head.
I don't want to be bashing Sera, feck I had high hopes for her as a character, shame that she grates me as much as she does at times. She is frustrating but I also want it to work, between a rock and a hard place truly.
So... templar with fabulous hair for DA4 lesbian?
There were so many times i almost hit the "you don't fit in the inquisition" option by accident.
Bonus points for putting it right above the serious flirt option.

I noticed her recruit discussion on the wheel is labelled something like 'Sera joins. For now.' As if you're expected to kick her out.
Because what she is stole my romance slot.
The entitlement is strong with this one.
Edit: This is very similar to the complaints I see from straight guys whining about their options.

But one who hates being a templar and everything to do with them, of course.
Because what she is stole my romance slot.
While I know what you mean, you make it sound like you are owed anything when you put it that way. That's not really a healthy way of looking at life.
I haven't played through her entire romance, but the kiss is hilarious and cute. She has to bend over and grab her head haha.
That sounds too adorable!
My irony meter just broke.
To be fair, it took Isabela 7 years and a qunari invasion to get there xd
Isabela never had the best sense of timing.

That scene after the Fade was where I started to warm to her a bit cause she was so obviously terrified. There was a similar scene where she told off my Inquisitor and we were on a mission. It was at a fortress in the Western Approach that the Venatori are exploring a breach in time in and you have to go in and grab a magical artifact. She got very angry and demanded to know why I was always messing about with bad magical things and when I went ahead with it she made more angry utterances. Deeply terrified of magic that gal and I've been trying to initiate more dialogue with her to get at that problem but she does talk so much gibberish it's hard to get her to open up. I wonder if anyone has gotten more out of her?

I apologise for singling you out in my earlier post, because you don't seem to be exaggerating as much as I thought (I kind of came in half-way through the debate and jumped the gun, sorry.)
It sucks that she wasn't what you hoped. She has proven to be quite controversial indeed. In regards to Bull in Dorian all I can say is that they just weren't written that way.
But one who hates being a templar and everything to do with them, of course.
Really I was just thinking about the radiant plate look. Chevalier who isn't a twerp maybe?
Isabela never had the best sense of timing.
She just has a dramatic sense of timing.
To be fair, it took Isabela 7 years and a qunari invasion to get there xd
Well if it gets years for Sera to get past some things, im all for it. I just want to help her. Girl is troubled and that makes me sad.
My irony meter just broke.
I think mine pinged too. Anyway. I like that Sera couldn't come up with anything to prank Leliana. Good thing she didn't find her shoes because that could have turned ugly. Leliana is a prankster too...

I believe that all of humanity is owed a great number of things that are unfortunately too often not provided.
In regards to this game... maybe "duped" is a better term.
Romance sera as an elf and drink from the fountain. Drama ensues.
At least she can properly throw a knife to kill someone.
do you know how hard it is to properly throw a knife?
also those aren't knives, those a bloody short swords.

Wait, you mean where she says i shouldn't poke things because the place is scary? It's this also a cutscene or party banter?

And she was probably more than bit buzzed at the time too. She's a dusky death goddess, that one.

I liked how Sera respected Leli's personal stuff when my Quizzy showed her the box.

party banter if I remember correctly.
do you know how hard it is to properly throw a knife?
Hard enough that it generally isn't a good idea to do so. Although being a good (non-crossbow) archer is generally much harder.

There is some cute banter with Cassandra about her fear of magic too.
