Hard enough that it generally isn't a good idea to do so. Although being a good (non-crossbow) archer is generally much harder.
eh, not really. It's easy enough to use a bow, throwing a knife is much harder due to having to adjust the angle depending upon the distance from your target, as well as several other factors...
Wait, you mean where she says i shouldn't poke things because the place is scary? It's this also a cutscene or party banter?
It was party banter and I wish I could recall her exact words but it went something like "Please don't take that! Oh I know you will though cause you're always poking about in scary places looking for bad magical things." Then when I did grab the artifact she said something like "I knew you'd take it. You always know how to get into trouble!" I know these aren't the exact words but it was the gist of it. She's got a problem with magic and I'd like to know more about why but it hasn't come up yet in our chats.
There is some cute banter with Cassandra about her fear of magic too.
So far all she's done is to tease Cassandra for being a noble but I imagine I'll get this. I've been including her more cause she kicks ass in fights.

it never does.... despite two of my three characters being mages.
Romance sera as an elf and drink from the fountain. Drama ensues.
I don't like romantic drama.

It's actually not really 'easy enough' to use a bow. Archery in general is very skill-dependent.
But yes, throwing a knife is harder!

I think you mean the place where everything is frozen and Sera tells her to not poke things, this place is scary... then she takes the staff, hell ensues and Sera: "I told you to not poke things! Ugh!"
Yeah, she definitely has huge fear of magic... she kept asking my qunari mage to not be a one big scary mage. It was adorable.

I totally meant to hit them with the handle!

While I hope then that they will use her in the expansion or next game and maybe the backstory can be revealed then. I'll hope cause there is or should be more to her story than what we get here. I also have noticed she's very evasive when asked about Red Jenny.

Should do some reading on british longbowmen and how freaking strong you have to be to use one.
I don't like romantic drama.
Generally I don't either, I like it for a change of pace though. You might enjoy Josie more. ![]()

I haven't heard that banter yet, odd! I wonder how the game decides what topic they will banter about, I always thought in DA2 and Origins there was an 'order'.
*checks for euphemisms*
no euphimisms, she pulls a bow on you and basically states: no more of this **** or we are done.

I do, but I don't really find that adequate either. We don't get to talk often enough, due to her lack of party presence, and her romance wasn't constructed in a way that felt satisfying to me.

I do wonder sometimes if the reason I find archery so easy is because I've been doing it for so long, and it has always come naturally for me...
Much. So is dual weilding, its not as easy as it looks, unless you're talking a staff weapon, such as a quarterstaff.

Who you? Or me? Cause I know how hard they are to use, personal experience, I was talking about a modern compound, I prefer the older english longbow, but sometimes one has to make due with what is available.
I think the better question is, why wouldn't she have a problem with magic?
You've got a point there.

Yeah that's the place! She seemed super freaked out there. I think she is an interesting character. The bratty, scared, kid coming to grips with the big, bad, world and I hope we get more of her and can watch her grow a little more in other games or dlc's.

Really? I thought it was paced nicely because she wasn't in the party, it had a 'honey I'm home!' vibe haha.
You had to have loved the confessing of love scene though!

I took her and Cassandra along on a mission into the fens in the Exalted Plains and it happened there. She got really snotty with Cassandra and to her credit Cassandra brushed her off pretty well.

was that the banter with her teasing/asking cass about her names?

Apologies.
But yes, reading up on it it genuinely is something you have to do your entire life to be good at. And combat archery is a whole different story than being at the range. Something I can very much apreciate being a former infantryman.

Hmmm I will have to try that for myself. ![]()
I think I got the magic related dialogue in the hinterlands after closing a rift.

I... half-did, but I found it odd that we hadn't said so before now. And that I went behind Josephine's back for the duel.
