I... half-did, but I found it odd that we hadn't said so before now. And that I went behind Josephine's back for the duel.
Maybe it was my inner masculinity (I swear it is in there somewhere) that made me enjoy the whole duel scene.
was that the banter with her teasing/asking cass about her names?
There was that but I seem to recall something else about being able to just go all over the world killing anybody and everybody and Cassandra said something along the lines of "It's not really like that kid" in that disgusted tone which Cassandra is noted for. ![]()
Yeah that's the place! She seemed super freaked out there. I think she is an interesting character. The bratty, scared, kid coming to grips with the big, bad, world and I hope we get more of her and can watch her grow a little more in other games or dlc's.
Funny, i just finished that mission. ![]()
Sera freaks out in any place that has hints of magic. Don't blame her myself tbh.

Yeah you can't really. It's kind of endearing too.

I'll defo romance Josie in my 3th pt. Not sure which race though. I did a human and she was supposed to pin for Josie, went for Sera instead.
I hope my 3th character won't go for Sera again, damn that girl is impossible to ignore. ![]()

I like it, but it jars a little with how terribly mundane the depiction of magic is in Thedas.
I liked how Sera respected Leli's personal stuff when my Quizzy showed her the box.
Pity she couldn't return that respect to her elven lover's beliefs. Yes I'm still salty.

Josie's romance was excellent with a human.
I have no idea how different it is for other races, but I don't imagine it matters too much. I have a couple of friends who romanced her with a qunari and they seemed to enjoy it a lot. It feels very accessible, IMO.

It was a great romance, filled my empty souless vessel of a heart with butterfiles haha. I am loving the Dwarf/Sera romance just as much, I'm not sure if she comments on race but I always feel like she finds my Dwarf cute because of her size!
She is indeed, if I had of been female in my first playthrough, I would be like 'Josie who?' right now. ![]()

I can kind of relate to Sera though, it isn't exactly the same, but as an atheist I tend to fired up when discussing religion with my girlfriend (who is uncertain about theology), (I still tolerate it of course, I won't bash on people's faith) but if my girlfriend just came back from a religious temple of sorts, praising the ancient elves of mythal I would be slightly miffed!
"Romance sera as an elf and drink from the fountain. Drama ensues."
Yes, found this out the hard way. Possible Minor spoilers.
So I am Dalish Elf. Our relationship has been a struggle since I am sometimes "elfy" but I finally won her over. Even proposed marriage.
Get to end of the game and take that drink. I figured that the price might be her dying. Never expected her reaction though. Bioware handled this really well. You could still save the relationship if you answered one of her questions a certain way. But for my Dalish to do that, would mean denying all she was. So I refused, and bam she dumped me.
I was in shock. I imagined my character was shocked, sad, etc. But I also smiled because it felt real. Bioware has really improved the relationship building in this game - lovers, friends and rivals.
That sounds excellent, there should be consequences for such things.
You know, if my girlfriend just drank from a well that may have posessed her because of a religion and culture that I think is not only bullshit but also incredibly dangerous I would have serious misgivings about it as well. It comes to a point where it's a dealbreaker and there is nothing really incomprehensible about that.
At least she can properly throw a knife to kill someone.
But can Isabela fire a bow? Nu-uh.
I totally meant to hit them with the handle!
I know right. The knife throw was just a warning shot. If the noble idiot got the hint, he wouldn't end up with his skull caved in.
Just two daggers in his back.
Pity she couldn't return that respect to her elven lover's beliefs. Yes I'm still salty.
Sheesh, Crim. Stop rubbing that salt in that wound, it will hurt a little less.
Sera's reception makes me sad. If everyone hates her with such a passion, what hope do I have.
This is why I do not want friends. You can't trust anyone in this world.

Not everyone. She's divisive, but not universally loathed.
touché
Lol, she can't even hold one...like she's allergic.
She's held enough wood in her hands, I think.

Miffed enough to go to the lengths to say de-convert or it's over? That was unreasonable on Sera's part, she is Andrastian sorta, my creator loving Dalish elf never attacked her for her beliefs, didn't make it a goal to tell her what to believe in, show some respect for her's Sera, not asking for much. So bloody stubborn in that scene, she didn't understand it or want to entertain the idea of a different viewpoint so it was easier to deny it all. Can't keep up that lie to humour her myself, others can, I can't. Bummer.

Also (and this is important) She isn't loathed for being a bad character. If anything, the fact that she genuinely upset some people is a hallmark of a good character.
If we're going to keep the keep the girlfriend analogy going then it should be pointed out that
Pity she couldn't return that respect to her elven lover's beliefs. Yes I'm still salty.
*awkward shoulder pat*
It's a rough deal. I like her more than I don't but I can see how that could easily be the other way round .
She's held enough wood in her hands, I think.
I'm starting to see euphemisms in everything in this thread.
It's fun stuff.

I think that scene made me like her more though. I was high on all the elven wonder, as were most of the characters. I didn't think of questioning it. Then Sera is like, but what if it's bullshit? Then it hit me: What if it is???
She seems incompatible with dalish elves, thats for sure. Good thing my character is a dwarf this time around.

I envy all you lot who romanced her as another race first, I saw the worst of her as a Dalish elf. Lost enthusiasm for her as a result, one can only hope it gets better as another race.

Indeed. The only character I truly can't be bothered with in Bioware games is Jacob in ME2, and that's just because he's so bland. Dropped from my squad for everything but his loyalty mission.
