I'm starting to see euphemisms in everything in this thread.

 

It's fun stuff.

 

Sera thread in a nutshell.

 

I think that scene made me like her more though. I was high on all the elven wonder, as were most of the characters. I didn't think of questioning it. Then Sera is like, but what if it's bullshit? Then it hit me: What if it is???

She seems incompatible with dalish elves, thats for sure. Good thing my character is a dwarf this time around.

 

Good line of thought. Even if it never struck me as being off, there's a point in there.

Also (and this is important) She isn't loathed for being a bad character. If anything, the fact that she genuinely upset some people is a hallmark of a good character.

No. She's hated because of how poorly implemented she was.

Also, I swear I will wreak vengeance upon her for that "stepping on dead elves" line in the Exalted Plains.

I would have liked to see Cassandra be bisexual for everyone who enjoyed her, which is too significant a number for me to ignore. However, I personally don't believe I'd be compatible with her either, because she's too religiously conservative. I'd have preferred to have Cassandra as bisexual and someone more different from Cassandra than Josephine is as lesbian, but probably no one in the current party. Vivienne is just horrible, far worse than Sera could ever be.

I adored Cass in this game, really grew to respect her alot, and yes I pined after her at times.

A lot of the characters have warts i.e. uncomfortable aspects of their personalities. I also don't agree with just painting Cassandra as "conservative." She's religious but not particularly intolerant or inflexible in her devotion as I tend to think of the religiously conservative as being. Sera is far more inflexible in that regard.

Is there any word on when this will be patched? Or the Hawke voice switch bug, I refuse to start that quest-line until it is fixed! I don't want my female dwarf to lose her British accent!

Yeah...that line. That one crossed a line even for me. A good educational smack with a side dish of yelling wouldn't have been out of place there. The whole thing reminded me of the time when Fenris called Merrill a monster. How I wanted feed that guy his teeth at that moment....
