If you rivalmanced her, you didn't love her.

I'm just willing to admit that she can wrong sometimes, and yes, even stupid. There's never wrong with admitting that your ladylove isn't perfect, right. And come, me disagreeing Merrill on some subjects and getting into a rivalmance doesn't mean my Hawke really didn't love her. Disagreements are natural in a relationship.

The funny thing with Cass is she's a pretty devout Andrastian but has no qualms falling for a pro Dalish elven man, she has some leeway there, she has respect for another's beliefs. Sera does not and she's not even religious much to begin with, baffling.

And Cass was my preferred choice for Divine but Lels got the nod in my 1st run. Lels will defo shake up the Chantry that's for sure, I like some of her ideas, other ones make me anxious.

I was leaning Cass. Now I can't back her. Her devotion is really to the Seekers and always will be. She tells you that the Seekers are "family." So that takes care of that!

I won't back Leliana because of her depression and medicating that through violence. That leaves Viv and I am depressed at that. I wish I could abstain.  :P

After her parents her executed, she and her brother were raised by her uncle.  A motraltasi.  A death-mage.  It's in her investigate dialogue at Haven.

Edit: Oh, the other bit.  Not as a lover, eww.  Just pointing out that for a time, she was raised by a mage.

Huh? I was referring to the fellow in "Dawn of the Seeker."

Right she didn't care for him but she does tell you (if you romance her) that her first love was a mage so she's hardly filled with mage-hate.

And they absolutely should not have done so for a romance option, especially one trying to represent lesbians.

Cass seemed to be pretty content with taking charge of the Seekers in my run, Lels murdered alot of people in my epilogue, sith Divine.

I did, yet didn't get lot of banter from her or even comments.... must be bc my game banter is bugged as hell. Ugh.

Weird. I've been hearing various one-liners from her since I got here. Can't say that was the case in earlier regions I've visited.

Is that where she complains about the cold? Cassandra meanwhile comments on how clear the sky is. (romantic that she is. You just know she was admiring the moon and the stars.)

I think she said something about that, yes. Don't have Cass with me right now, though.

Lels is going very dark despite my best efforts in my run. I'm noticing a "murder solves everything" trend with her and it's sad. I think it's going to have to be Viv.

The entitlement is strong with this one.

Edit: This is very similar to the complaints I see straight guys whining about their options.

It needs to balance out :P

With Leli, you just have to stop her from killing people in order to be the good ol' Leli we all know and luv.

Will that change how she behaves as Divine?

She either becomes a murder knife addict, or brings everyone back into the fold peacefully.

For some who were looking forward to the first openly lesbian character in a DA game Sera left alot to be desired. Disappointing sums up my thoughts on her, did I want this to happen hell no, I've been looking forward to her for quiet sometime. Can't fault others for feeling let down.

I must see this completely differently, but not liking her as a character doesn't need to detract from the fact that it is a good thing that she was the first openly lesbian character, does it?

I think the point is that when the decent representation of lesbians is so low, it's more important to like the few you have. Sera standing on her own is nice and all, but it always going to be a loss for some.

I get that, I do, I just think people should think about the bigger picture rather than their own opinion (Not that they shouldn't have an opinion, just take the good with the bad, silver linings etc.)

I have such troubles understand Sera sometimes. It's like... I can recognize that she's speaking English, but the words seem scrambled.

I eventually kicked her out of my party because she gave me a headache.

I think that's part of the problem. Too much demand is put on her character fulfilling expectations instead of just letting what's there grow on people. The focus seems to be on what she lacks and not on what's positive about her.

I'm sure others can enjoy her for what she is, she grates on me more often then not, disappointing. It's great to see Bioware making strides with more inclusion like this, happy to see them writing more diversity. Pity that Sera for me has more unattractive qualities as a person than good and she happens to be gay which ugh, disappointing allround.
