I don't think that even Xil is threatening that...
So... A card on Google Now on my phone just directed me to a thread on Reddit where someone suggests that maybe Sera spent some time in that haunted orphanage in the Denerim alienage. That would explain a lot.*
I don't think that even Xil is threatening that...
The odds of my having enough resolve to actually boycott a new DA game are so low that there's no point in making the threat. Ideally I'd want enough other people pissed off enough for them to threaten a boycott.
I have the impression Sera had implementation problems from kicking her out in the main dialogue to following up with the break up.
For example my character that was a dalish did break up with her after the temple business and even asked her if they could be friendly after, which she disapproves but at the end when you talk to her, it is like nothing had happened.
That's annoying. If you romance Blackwall, his post-drama conversation options are pretty limited, but they're there at least...and it's referenced in banter and conversations with people, and it feels like the game is reactive to your decisions there more than it sounds like it does with Sera. Sera also has the least involved personal quest, I think....I honestly didn't realize it was her "personal quest" and not just a precursor to it until later in the game. I wonder what the design process behind all that is.

Oh thank God. Please O benevolent thread, don't turn this into a civil war...

I think it is more about the disappointment in her character, for the first companion with a lesbian romance than anything else. I already made my peace with it.
Sera reminds me of, part of myself actually when I was really young, minus the toilet humor of course.
All the threads are getting a bit combative now, I think. It's the nature of the post-game beast.
At least no one is in here calling her a rapist yet?
It will even out though. Just let people have their discussions and get it out of their systems.
We discussed this a bit here a week ago I believe.
I think it likely she would have stayed there since she has no memory of her birth parents.
Ah... Probably when I was skimming through quickly to avoid spoilers.

I even expect some banter about the break up with Vivienne or something but nothing, the party at the end is even more immersion breaking, she is like "hello friend" lol
c'mon Uncle! you were here when the Denerim orphanage was discussed
)
As I said, there was a time when I was here but not looking hard at all the posts as I was trying not to spoil myself. I've kind of given up on that, now. ![]()
Forgive me if you mentioned it earlier but did you have other issues with her aside from the Dalish thing or was that the chief problem?
Just curious how she does in general terms from your perspective.
The impasse I reached with her as a religious Dalish killed alot of my enthusiasm for her as I mentioned earlier, it was a very unattractive side of her during that convo. Another big oh god moment was when she brutally beat that noble to death when I was trying to question him. That's not a healthy reaction, disturbed me a little. She's too stubborn at times and won't allow you to talk things through with her, sometimes I liked her brashness at others it irritated me. Also she can be pretty disrespectful and annoyingly immature at moments in the story. Just going to chalk that up to her age tho.
She had some funny moments and the few positives that I do like about her such as her passion, not being afraid to go after what she wants, her vulnerability, her tough childhood, her feelings of inferiority as a city elf and her fear of demons and magic endeared her to me, made me want to comfort her. But these few positives are outweighed more so than the negatives I find in her. I don't want to give up on Sera tho, I will attempt to give her another go, she has plenty of faults but also frustratingly has this softness to her that I like.
Huh? Sorry, I'm still at Uni. *looks at watch and wanders when he'll be done* What was a letdown? The game? Why? Why was it a letdown? Please tell me... I'm so alone right now.
Just that I was disappointed on my first run with her playing as an elf. Maybe a human mage will go more smoothly *shrugs*
Naah, I think I've seen the same cycle at least a couple of times now. With the same arguments. From the same people. It just might be that we get our minds wiped on a regular basis
(c'mon Uncle! you were here when the Denerim orphanage was discussed
) Last night this thread was all about spiny fish who like to swim up uncomfortable parts of the human anatomy with a bit of googlebomb bait thrown in by the Cat. Tonight? Who knows. Probably nugs
Nugs!? I love nugs... kill 'em all!
So, just curious here...
What country are you actually from, Xil?

I hope it goes well for you, my dear.

I would go with Qunari, her reactions are a lot more positive and can be actually funny at times. Sometimes I wish Sera was race gated to Qunari and Humans.

After what happened with a pro-Dalish elf yup, save yourself the headache. As for qunari eh they don't interest me all that much despite Sera having a strong preference for em. I'll stick with my human mage for now, more so interested in how that goes storywise, gonna side with the mages this time, be very Andrastian, something different.

America. Why so?
Divine Victoria disapproves. And when she disapproves she gets stabby. Darth Leliana makes the bestest religious leader ever
Rogue Divine is best Divine.
Keep Leliana away from the Sunburst throne! Her place is in the arms of her Warden!
My primary problem with all this is that people set expectations on personality according to a characters sexuality. That actually seems way more bigoted and intolerant than sera is.
When I play a bioware game I seek to sample different exeriences and frankly this game have more options than any bioware game before it.
Keep Leliana away from the Sunburst throne! Her place is in the arms of her Warden!
Well she makes up new rules, one being the warden is close by as her dirty lil secret. Perhaps in the future not so secretive about keeping her lover.
America. Why so?
Having a... special situation on my mind.
I'm also... weird.
Nevermind, being American rules you out as a possibility.
I really need to stop being so bloody paranoid all the time.
I'll share what happened when I figure out one more thing.

But... Morrigan romanced the warden. ![]()
