There's a banter with Vivienne where Sera makes an accidental innuendo and is totally oblivious to it. Vivienne is like 'how does she not know?' I'll try to find it.
Edit: Got it! It's a banter with Dorian where he is trying to explain to her that magic is just a 'tool' and she... well.
Dorian: I can't believe you're afraid of magic, Sera. It's a gift as mundane to me as your bow to you. Surely you see there is nothing to fear in a properly used tool.
Sera: Tell that to all the 'proper' mages waving their tools in people's faces.
Dorian: *trying not to laugh* There's an image.
Sera: What about Coryphemous? How many 'proper tools' does he have under him?
Varric: Not nearly enough if you ask me.
Sera: And the rebel mages? How many 'proper tools' have they raised?
Dorian: *trying not to laugh* That's not... I don't think I can continue.
Sera: Yeah well, I don't care how gifted you are. Don't cram it where it's not wanted.
Viviene: Maker, how does she not know?

She's a regular miss manners compared to bogans.
Also, learned about bogans after getting a talking gun called Boganella on Borderlands: The pre-sequel and talking to a few aussies on the game boards. Yes, the gun is worthy of the name

Not the same thing! (Like funnyunc said.) But Lanark is silly. Here's a normal Lanark accent tag, and here's one that is hilarious but also NSFW and extremely sweary.
Er... It's just a soft Scottish accent. What's silly?

The Hero saved a country. The Champion barely saved a city. The Herald saves the entirety of Thedas.
Herald for the win.

I've seen her called a chav by some, and that's more or less the British equivalent, I think. Not fond of the term, myself, and I wouldn't apply it to Sera.

Borderlands is a freaking awesome game (i like 2 and pre sequel more, first one was meh due to poor FOV).
Lots of diversity and one canon lesbian couple in the pre sequel. Damn.
@CaptivatingKS: If it makes you feel better, i have no idea what they're saying either. ![]()

No. I think that despair is what he hates to see in people. It's what he fights.
I interpreted the gravestone inscriptions to be what each of them most feared. So Cole fears Despair because it makes people unable or unwilling to accept the help he offers, which strikes directly at his reason for being.
Dorian fears Temptation because he's seen what happens when his fellow Tevinter mages give into it, and the idea of becoming like them horrifies him.
And Sera fears The Nothing because she needs life to have some sort of meaning more than she could ever put into words; if not hers personally, then at least life in general. She clings to her Andrastaian beliefs because they mean that there's some purpose to everything, and that people get some reward or punishment after they die. To borrow a bit from Red Dwarf, if Silicon Heaven doesn't exist - if nothing happens to the toasters after they die - then nothing means anything at all, and then what the hell's the point of anything? She's plagued by the questions asked by Grantairie in "Drink With Me" from Les Miserables: "Can it be you fear to die? Will the world remember you as you fall? Could it be your death means nothing at all? Is your life just one more lie?"
She may not know what "existential crisis" means, but she's going through one particularly big and nasty one during the events of the game. And that's one of the reasons why I'm glad I decided to choose her as my female elf mage Inquisitor's LI.

I think chav and bogan roughly approximate to "trailer trash" in the states. Basically poor uneducated people who are seen as ill-mannered, sponging off the state and likely criminal. You could see why people might class Sera that way, but I find those terms quite nasty because many people who get lumped into that bracket are actually decent hard-working folk who just happen to dress and/or talk in a particular way.
The rest was just Geordie slang/dialect. We were being nice to Sera. ![]()

Don't forget to punch the reporter. It doesn't matter what else you do, you have to punch the reporter.
I always found using the Paragon interrupt to out-argue her more satisfying, because then the footage is of her being made a fool of on her own program, rather than of Spectre brutality. ![]()

Oddly I'm a Yorkshireman but descended from Irish, Welsh, Belgians and people from the Midlands of England.
My great grandfather was a Leeds man but his family had all emigrated from the Lothian area of Scotland at the end of the eighteenth century so they had quite a bit of Scots in their background. He married a Bucks woman and my grandmother and father were born outside London as well. I understood my grandmothers posh London accent well enough. No idea whether my great grandfather had the Yorkshire accent in a heavy way as he died not long after I was born. I've got some Welsh and some French as well from both sides of the family.

America here, and I think I understand what Sera says, haha. Maybe not all the slang, but her speech and thought patterns are very ADHD, so they make perfect sense to me.
I love it when she says 'Innit', lol
