Sneaky indeed. I was barely getting any relevant dialogue with her before Skyhold. She doesn't truly open up until her lengthy quest is complete.

Which makes sense. She's busy worrying, isn't she?

Well you've made your point, I think a lot of people disagree with you.

I don't feel like my point will be made until something is done to fix this. Either in this game or having no possibilities like it in the next.

I had a chat with her in Skyhold before her quest where I approached her at her desk and somehow asked "how's it going" and this led to an extended scene on the balcony of the Quiz bedroom where she unburdened herself to me. It seemed loaded with tempts to start the romance and I avoided those.

Morrigan was who I went for in Origins and I wished like hell I could have told her off for some of her attitudes. Not as abrasive as Sera but very selfish and not altogether altruistic yet that made her very hot.  :P

Oh god yes... made me want to go for her until i found out she isn't gay romance. I had the sads that day. Then I warmed up to Leliana and i liked her.... i liked how she had a dark past. ;)

It wasn't.

"That is true!" - Rocket Raccoon quote.

No, seriously though. BioWare pride themselves on creating realistic relationships between characters. There are realistic romantic relationships that aren't based on sex. This is one of them. This relationship they have created is supposed to be more than just leading up to a shag.

Why can't people see this?

Yeah Leliana is a fantastic character and I've been sad the Inquisitor can't romance her. I know, I know, her "Warden" and all that jazz but that cat's  been gone for ten years maaaan!

Well technically it can.

I worded that poorly.

A story is a creation enjoyed by people other than it's creator. If someone likes imagining their own additions that's fine, I guess, but for a lot of people that isn't the point or even if it is they like more to go on. Having an imagination isn't a cover up for story details not being there, or poor graphics or anything else it is regularly brought out for.

what for just trying to keep peace. Its no brawl wedsday lol

Man, I thought it was Warpaint Wednesday.

Nothing is broken though, strictly speaking.

If it was supposed to be asexual, they should have informed me.

I sharply disagree.

"Aseral." I think that's what I'll call our group.

Precisely. I don't see Sera changing and frankly I wouldn't want her to.

But it's not asexual. Sex comes into it, it's just not the point of the relationship at all. It doesn't need to be shown. It's like in movies where it is very clear that two people have sex, but they don't show it, because it's not the point. The basis for this relationship is about an emotional bond between two characters, and a sex scene just doesn't fit into the story the writer was trying to tell.

On this too, I sharply disagree. Sex is quite important for me relationshipwise, and the denial thereof here is an attack on my own roleplaying.

Yeah, a-sexual isn't the correct term but okay.

Who is this 'our'? If you really think you can change it, be my guest and go for it. But you won't likely find support in a thread for people who like Sera.

Josie is too "cute" for my type. I like crazy/weird/in your face ladies, reason why i like Isabela so much. (Leliana and Liara seem to have something in them to make me forget their "cuteness")

I also like ladies like Cassandra and Aveline and Miranda or even Viv, hell Morrigan... gay/bi women tend to get "cute" types of romances so Isabela and Sera are nice changes and i'm very glad Sera is a lesbian romance and a complicated one.

Hence why I don't agree with Xil that her romance shouldn't be in the game at all. Actually I think it could've been made a bi romance pretty easily. Her backstory is not really tied to her sexuality in the way Dorian's is (which is another bone of contention in itself). Of course now we're talking about BioWare creating a whole extra different lesbian character and all the effort that entails, so it's just speculation at this point as to whether they could possibly have had the resources to do so...

As to Leli and Liara, they both start off seeming quite soft, but develop a hard streak as they go on, for different reasons... Left hand of the divine and Shadow Broker! :D

Well it's not a part of the relationship so deal with it. I've had enough. You disagree with every reasonable point thrown at you. So what is the point? What is the point in trying to make you see another side to what is shown? There is none, because you will never see it, and I am done with this s***.

"Our" being those who find Sera's implementation badly wanting. And you might be surprised; Crimson and Basement Cat both seem inclined.

Well okay, I don't know whether they want to 'fix' her like you do, but if they do fair enough.

Which is what makes me think Sera might be a bit different in a later game. BioWare seems to have a track record of evolving their characters.

I hope they don't evolve her too much though, but I agree to an extent. I wasn't completely on-board with Leliana in Inquisition, or Alistair for that matter. Morrigan was excellent though.

Well okay, I don't know whether they want to 'fix' her like you do, but if they do fair enough.

Fixing her isn't strictly necessary; it'd be preferable, but simply trying to ensure that the same problems don't show up again in the next game would also work.

Because I've already had this discussion with people in the Josephine thread and they made better points.
