And Sera has nothing in her backstory at all that explains or justifies any of it, so there's no reason she couldn't gain a new perspective. I'd say leaving the Qun is a much bigger change.
But why would the events of the game make Sera like the Dalish more? The major revelations we had about them in the game were all negative.
I got 48/50 and those two are taunting me. You get both for beating the game on nightmare, right? Gosh, I'd dread doing two play throughs just for those...
Yeah, they stack so you will get both for doing Nightmare.
Damn taunting.
Also anyone realized that the tarot "Nightmare" card had Duncan on it? Rude Bioware, rude.... D:
Considering the sheer number of incidents with blood magic and posessions and other asshat tendencies I'm surprised that the vast majority of thedas doesn't think like Sera.

there's a pretty big reason why she wouldn't gain a new perspective - it's just not for her.
believe it or not ... these kinds of people actually do exist. hell, i'm one of them ... any kind of group of people that share a belief system ( regardless of its nature - political, religious, etc ) ... scares the crap out of me and i want as little part of it as i can.
i haven't even played the entire game yet but it's already clear she's not really the type to stick to rules, believe in something, obey ... she kinda does whatever the hell she wants because she can.
i haven't retained much from that game cause i have a hard time remembering stuff like this ... but as a whole i know that i didn't like the templars, i didn't like mages, i didn't like pretty much any faction in that game except the wardens. and i only liked them because they were supposed to die and they knew that and they accepted it.
every other faction had its eyes on power. one way or another, that's always what it felt like it was about - everyone wanted power, in one form or another.
you don't need a big reason to be like this. you need a thousand tiny reasons.
The people who had problems with her romance are the ones who have an elf who's heavily dalish.
And is as stubborn as she is. It's sort of beautiful, in a horrible way.

No increase in body hair? Good, I'm done with my manscaping for the month.
But why would the events of the game make Sera like the Dalish more? The major revelations we had about them in the game were all negative.
Reaaaaaallly? Do tell of these negative revelations. Because I played through the game and found no negative revelations. Please, enlighten me......
*snipped because squalophobic*
I think you need to romance Solas to get the big ones.
And kitten therapy!

Most clans kick out mages if they have more than three or four at a time, leaving them to fend for themselves.
Their vallaslin are actually slave markings, they completely misunderstood what they were supposed to represent.
The culture they venerate was not destroyed by Tevinter, but by itself, and the ancient elves view them as a joke.

I'm getting flashbacks of Ulysses from Fallout New Vegas. The meaning of symbols can evolve. The swastika used to be a symbol of good luck and used all over the place. After a certain group claimed it, all positive meaning was lost.

It's still considered a sign of peace. So long as it is a + and not an x.
lots of profanity and tears helps
That does sound like me when i played Dark Souls... ![]()
*cracks knuckles* Was kinda hoping you'd step up.
One clan kicked out extra mages. Not all and no evidence or mention of 'most'. Misinformation.
For vallaslin, check out my answer above. Misinformation.
Partial credit for the destruction of the ancient culture. But it was Tevinter in the end who delivered the deathblow to a weakened and scattered empire. And why wouldn't the ancient, much much more advance people, view the Dalish as little more than children? Compared to Arlathan era, Thedas is in a stone age as are the people in it.
About mages and Dalish clan , it seems there's some form of "retcon" ,before we were told how Dalish valued their mages because they had the "gift" , we knew they had less and less mages and some were given to other clans.
But Merrill never said anything about mages being seen as a problem and her clan took Feynriel.
In DAI , it seems it's now part of the lore , Dalish kick their mages out in some cases.
Vivienne tell you it's the case (if a human circle mage knows about this , it must be a common practise) and you met two Dalish female mage who have been through this , Minaeve the researcher in Haven and one in the Bull Chargers.
That does sound like me when i played Dark Souls...
