When Xil jumps through hoops to get together with a character that makes her rage, you know it's special :P  Glad to see you're finding a way, Xil :)

My feelings on Sera have never been simple.

Though I have to wonder what's up with her Hanged Man card being the romance one, as the Star one seems more erotic.

She's playfully sitting on quizzy's throne.

Though i do prefer the Star one than hanged man.

Damn..

I love her in a fight. She is rarely hurt and she can one-shot some of the lower-lvl enemies. I gave her the invisible/stealth ability and now she's almost impossible for melee fighters to take on.

I started the elven temple last night after finishing the glyphs and have her an Solas in the party. I want to see how that plays out tonight banter-wise. I'll do that after I apply the hotfix tonight. Last night's play was awful with stuttering which I had not experienced before. I am very depressed with BioWare's patch efforts so far. My 660ti was really handling this thing well till now on high but last night was awful.

That's a shame. As soon as I did the added the workaround command line in Origin, the game started playing exactly as it had before for me (with the extra radar blips in item search). I am on a Radeon 7950, though.

Ugh. Two Terrors = infinite fuckload of a stunlock. That's all there is to that particular bit.

PLUS, the ***** keep ignoring taunts and going straight for the DPS people, instead of the TWO tanks (Yes, I have Blackwall help Cass)

Same. I dare say the game actually runs a little better on my GTX770 now.

So, what are solutions to dealing with this patch again?

Bloody Bioware. They claim they're removing healing to have less alpha striking and stuns, yet they have just as much of it...

BLOODY HELL, BY THE CREATORS, DO THOSE TERRORS HAVE ANY OTHER ABILITY THAN THE TELEPORT-STUN-DAMAGE-****YOUSERZA THING?

Oh, and I've edited me going... talky with bad language...

I have to apply the hotfix tonight. It wasn't out last night and I was getting home after getting stuck in a bad traffic accident back-up so I was less than amused and or patient. Hopefully it will fix the issues.

The workaround was quite simple and worked fine for me.

The workaround for the shiny hair/broken skin texture/broken shader graphics glitches is here: http://forum.bioware...2#entry18031082

It's basically just adding one command line to the game startup which forces the system shader to be at the same quality level as the mesh, which apparently it needs to be to avoid these glitches. It was stuck on high and the patch was supposed to fix it so it was tied to the level set for the mesh. Instead it got locked to low. Oops.

A hotfix is supposedly coming soon.

I will confess that there's some hope for Sera, as she's capable of moving past creepy magical goings-on from a mage Inquisitor who's taken a specialization (especially relevant for a necromancer). I also suspect that it's psychologically healthier for her to be in a relationship with a non-elf and that her path of maturation would ultimately be less rocky that way.

What do you think is the best race here?

I must know for science.

No actually, I'm not sure what race to pick next for my Nightmare run with a rogue and I've gone elf twice sooo...

For ease of romancing it's clearly Qunari, but people have been saying that human is more rewarding story-wise for the game in general. Oh and some cutscenes haven't been properly adjusted for Qunari so their heads can disappear and other fun stuff.

Hmm... I never have this problem. Are you playing as a mage? Warriors get a taunt and challenge ability which helps to focus enemies on them. Try switching to Cass or Blackwall at the beginning of a fight and having them use "taunt."

Terrors can be taunted but they shake it off quite quickly and go looking for DPS types. Annoying if there are more than one as you can't focus fire on both at once.

That's true. I've had swarms of them at some rifts and usually the more problematic ones are in the 2nd wave. Might have to try switching to tactical mode more often for those but I've been lazy.

My mages take the biggest hits in those waves.

What makes human more rewarding? Since there doesn't seem to be much human-specific after In Hushed Whispers.

My tactic for them is (I am a 2 handed warrior) hit one with stun and when I see them going teleport, just slam my blade down into the ground (forgot the name of the ability), which usually works.

Hate that place. If you required water in this game, you would die before you reached that little pool of water.

Recall that we're talking about playing as a different race for someone with two elf playthroughs to their name. Much of the game revolves heavily around human politics such as in Orlais, and as a human noble then you tend to fit into that world. The Tevinter are all humans. The main Wardens are all humans. Basically, the key players are mostly human or elves (or used to be or appear to be). I guess as a Dwarf or Qunari you might wonder where you fit into all that.

Edit: I'm only going by what others have said here, by the way. I've seen some comment that they find Human and Elf to be more rewarding than Dwarf or Qunari.

From what I can see, there is at least 5-7 different layers on the map there. It's impossibly puzzling.

I also had issues finding the one miner to give her back her ring, for exactly the same reason.
