You know, I heard that walking over dead people banter part yesterday. Am I the only one who feels that was 100% warranted? Solas had been bugging her about the whole elf hertage thing for a while and she had repeatedly stated that she doesn't care the slightest bit as she's frankly as far from being dalish as physically possible. Not only that she asked him to stop bringing up the issue. It simply made solas come off as pushy. She had to make it clear that she could not care less and stated it as bluntly as possible to get through solas's thick skull. To me he totally deserved it.

Basic lack of respect for the dead, things like that I can't ever approve of. I like to think I have some sense of decency, Sera was outta order here.

Interesting, thanks for this....

Also i liked what someone said about it: "In BDSM relationships you treat your sub like damn royalty".

That scene, I feel like I'm in the minority here, found it disturbing. Fits into her deeply troubled persona for sure.

You're welcome. It's an interesting thread. I am not familiar with all of the ins and outs of that kind of relationship so it was interesting reading the perspectives of those more familiar with it but it's pretty clear that Bull sets off some alarm bells. There's also this:

It spoilers things a little bit but I was glad I listened to it. Bull does come off as a bit of a dom but an insensitive and nasty sort of one.

Damn right you do! They're allowing someone to render them hepless: unable to escape or even call for help if a gag is used. That amount of trust deserves the highest respect.

I agree with you. I didn't find it funny either. She's incensed in that scene.

I know I should feel that way, but I can't get over how awesome the throwing knife not working was.

I interpreted it as her giving him a weapon to hold thereby she could later claim he was not defenseless.

It's amazing how she actually did it mid-conversation.

That was not something I expected in the slightest.

That would imply that

1.Sera planned ahead.

2. She would feel the need to justify this to someone.

Point one alone makes this theory doubtdful. :P

I think she just messed up the throw and decided to just bewat him up instead.

I should have clarified. I was specifically talking about the afterwards part. The Angry Face bit.

Well that made me chuckle yes, but the brutally kicking a man in the head to death that came afterwards, not so much. Hence from now on I just save the poor sod.

I was not particularly bothered by Sera killing him in that manner, given that my Inquisitor's primary method of combat is burning people alive. It was a bit of a surprise for her to interrupt my investigations, though.

I think she intentionally messed up the throw to put him off guard and sort of stun him.

1. Not necessarily.

2. Not necessarily someone else. Maybe to herself as in "he had a weapon. I was justified."

I mean do you really believe Sera would miss at that distance?

It is disturbing, I think. I don't agree with her actions but that guy just had her contact killed before setting his thugs on her. He clearly wanted her dead just because she'd embarrassed him, and didn't even have the guts to do it himself. The only reason he stopped to talk was because he recognised the inquisitor. He represents the worst of everything she hates about nobles, so yeah. She's going to be angry. Also as Phoenix says, it's a great dramatic moment. (In a meta-gaming way, I think it's great that they interrupted the usual conversation wheel routine.)

I kind of like seeing rich b******s being brutally murdered, especially when they deserve it. I think my inquisitor would have liked to have joined in.

Or you know, just what would happen nine times out of ten if you actually tried that happened.

Well that made me chuckle yes, but the brutally kicking a man in the head to death that came afterwards, not so much. Hence from now on I just save the poor sod.

I don't think it was supposed to be funny exactly. I mean she Ryan Goslings the guy. It's comical, but in a dark way - it shows how unhinged she can be.

She didn't miss. She used a stupid way to attack someone.

That was my point. She wasn't intending to wound or kill him with the knife. It was a feint. Her intention was for him to pick it up and then she launched her real assault.

Has anyone tried the flirting with someone else (not Cass/Dorian/Harding as that won't lead anywhere) whilst romancing Sera? If so does she scold you for it?

Yes.  I have no problem at all believing that Sera is incompetent at knife throwing.  She's a bow prodigy, the skills are not transferable.

And I hated that scene.
