Has anyone tried the flirting with someone else (not Cass/Dorian/Harding as that won't lead anywhere) whilst romancing Sera? If so does she scold you for it?

She approves of you flirting with Harding in the Exalted Marches for some reason haha. She doesn't seem to care about flirting with Cass since it doesn't go anywhere.

Yup I tried the Harding ones as I heard it was cool in her books from here. And I'll continue to flirt with Cass like I did in my original run cos it's Cass and it won't go anywhere. Just wondering if she says something to your Inquisitrix if you flirt with someone else back at Skyhold, curious.

I'm pretty sure I've seen veeia talk about that with Blackwall, and maybe Serza with Josie? I remember some talk of having to advance one romance to the point where you get a break up option in order to be able then to go back to Sera.

I was not particularly bothered by Sera killing him in that manner, given that my Inquisitor's primary method of combat is burning people alive. It was a bit of a surprise for her to interrupt my investigations, though.

Yeah, the interrupt part it is. It's like she pulled a hidden Renegade interrupt or something.

Near as I can tell she doesn't care at all. She doesn't strike me as someone that would insecure in a relationship. Although I haven't 'completed' the romance, so for all I know it could ruin the last scene or something!

Yup. My first PT I took the battlements flirt with Blackwall (which starts his romance, I didn't know that then), and then tried to flirt with Sera. Got slight disapproval, and she said I was "in deep" with BW and that I needed to end things with him if I wanted to ask her out.

That scene, I feel like I'm in the minority here, found it disturbing. Fits into her deeply troubled persona for sure.

It seems lots of people find it disturbing.

Which I find interesting since there have been plenty of scenes that were basically similar to this one... a companion or the PC kills an NPC. Reactions to these scenes are typically along the lines of 'lol that was badass/funny' or just apathy. I'm mostly thinking about how people reacted to Renegade interrupts in ME (I remember one where you could push a guy through a window) or 'the murder knife' (I think that thing has a fan club somewhere).

But this is definitely different....is it Sera's anger? The scene is more emotionally charged than is typical. Or, maybe it's how she kills him...the beating isn't as quick as, let's say, Shepard just shooting someone. The thing with Sera felt more...personal? Very raw. I think it's probably both.

I think it is good that the scene can bring those feels.

This scene didn't bother me the slightest tbh. And yes, it showed how angry Sera was with this action the noble pulled. Her hatred of nobles like him, add the fact he killed an innocent in front of her eyes were enough for her to go renegade on him.

I like how they say Sera pulls a renegade Shepard in that scene... nobody seems to get bothered by similar actions Shepard does which makes me wonder.

I think it's memorable and has an emotional punch because of the brutality and because it's unexpected. As Phoenix said, it's basically a "renegade interrupt" that's out of your control.

It caught me off guard, I was trying to get to the bottom of what was going on with that noble, I could see that Sera was getting more frustrated and angrier as I kept questioning him and when she flipped out and in such a visceral brutal fashion I was really shocked and a lil sickened. I get having a temper but that was a very unhealthy reaction. I gave out to her in that scene and afterwards back at Skyhold, completely outta order, reign it in Sera. The more I learned about her as the game progressed it added up, she is deeply troubled but I still like her.

I haven't had the chance to get to know Sera yet. Everything I heard during her presentation was basically "I'm a sort of disorganized criminal vigilante with no respect for authority who talks a lot and has an annoying voice, accent, face and haircut, and I wanna join up with you because blah".

Unless the Inquisitor is a former criminal him/herself, I don't see how he/she could possibly justify recruiting her. My human noble certainly couldn't.

I don't think she's nearly as awful as you've described, but...

My qunari couldn't, and my noble kicked her out a few missions before the final fight.

But my male noble is definitely keeping her.

I'm troubled by that scene because of the overkill and the shouting. It's not just a quick and simple arrow, it's full of rage. And watching someone get beaten to death in a cutscene (I know it makes no sense that I can handle cracknig skulls with a giant maul...) is very uncomfortable; it makes me cringe.

Maybe that's why ppl were surprised in that scene... I gotta admit, this never happened in a bw game where we get to question someone.

that's why you take the nobilty speech perk, you force him to bend to the inquisitions will, and still get sera's approval. two birds, one stone.

On my first run I didn't know that, and I saw the brutal beating unfold :/

Past that scene again in my 2nd run, took the nobility option, everyone wins in that situation.

you're human noble, sounds like someone I would not get along with then.

Also on the subject of her accent, what's with people not being able to understand her? Seriously you want something hard, try something from the Highlands of Scotland....

The suddenness and the juxtaposition are definitely parts of it, for me.  One second, she's this vaguely annoying simpleton with vocal diarrhea, the next she's a rabid animal trying to push a guy's face through his skull with her knee.
