I think it would definitely help buff Sera's reputation - if certain parties look down on you and her for having Sera in the inquisition. You can say: This woman saved my life using valuable intel; she's an asset to this organization.

The certain parties in question most likely wouldn't consider that a valid reason, not because it isn't true but because it isn't respectable. And you know you need their help more than you know you need hers.

I don't think it's an option with Cass... I know you can do it with Iron Bull (he gets all flustered) and Sera (she does a spit take and calls us a loony).

No, I didn't recall any option like that with Cass. Damn shame. The way she shows her romantic interest is so funny and beautiful... I want to get on one knee for her.

I don't believe in marriage!

Don't you just love people who think they have to "win" arguments about questions that clearly don't have one indisputably correct answer?

Is it wrong that I'm 152 hours into my first playthrough and still not done?

Yes, that's how much I've been exploring. At this point, my journal only displays the main quest as incomplete

I spose you can use them as fodder in boss fights.

Nobles: "But fighting is not for us."

Quizzy: "I'm not asking."

Not wrong. Enjoy the game. That's what it is there for.

I bet your wishing you were a rogue right now, amirite?

Winter's Grasp + Twin Fangs has been my go to for Terror Demons.

Also, Fade Step for getting mages out of the way quickly.

Throwing Daggers and whirlwind (dunno if those are the proper names) have gotten me through soooo many battles. Why do one hit of damage when you can do 4-8? :P

If only that were an option.

I can't really have a problem with Sera killing an Orlesian noble when I've got Leliana sending out agents to blackmail and assassinate people of importance all over Thedas!

I only need one shot. Multiple hits are so mainstream.

So she clearly has access to information and contacts that you can use. You don't have to like her style for her to be useful.

No, she clearly might have access to information that you might be able to use. She very clearly has a problem with authority, however, and whatever favors you think she did you weren't actually to your benefit and might even be heavily to your detriment in the long run. There's "style" and there's actual efficiency, and from where my character stands she didn't make a very good case for herself.

Edit: Excuse me for making so much sense, I had no idea you people were allergic. I'm not trying to "win" anything, I'm advocating a viewpoint you don't agree with. Making fun of me doesn't solve anything.

This goes back to what I mentioned before, I think.

How hearing about violence secondhand isn't nearly as shocking or disturbing as is seeing it firsthand.

To add to the 'is Sera useful' debate: she's the wildcard. Literally. She's that card that can be anything you need it to be. Sometimes it's useless, sometimes it's helpful, but it's always good to have it available.

Her focus ability turns her into a murder machine. She pwns hard. Sure it's tempting sometimes (ok, often) to go 'shut up, Sera!' But that's the way she is.

I vote we get an item in the game called 'Sera Snacks' to make her be quiet for a while. Item description: a hard, sweet toffee popular in the Northern part of Ferelden. It is extremely sticky, making it almost impossible to talk while eating one.

Cue mumbling sound. :D

It's the blood isn't it?

I faint at the sight of my own blood. Cut my thumb with a scalpel at college, went down to the campus nurse, sat down, blacked out. Life is fun isn't it?

I want to try bringing her along more often with me on missions, but she's always so mean to Cole!  :crying:

So then I have to choose between them.

Have I not said twice now that it's your prerogative to make the decision you feel is right? I'll say it a third time. Other opinions are, however, available.

It's not the blood but the emotion building behind the scene. I can handle all the violence in battles, but seeing it in a cutscene makes me feel instantly vulnerable and uncomfortable.

Ouch though, that sounds horrific. <3

Exactly. I was just making the point that is there a difference really between what Sera does and what you as the Inquisitor have been doing all along? I don't know about anyone else but I know I am trying to right the world as I see it but I am also kicking some heads in while doing that and it hasn't all been neat or tidy or morally black and white either. I've already incurred Dorian's disapproval for hacking off his mentor's head. There is an argument that that guy was merely trying to help his kid however there was another argument that in trying to help his kid he got a lot of people killed and probably more would have died. I don't regret chopping him. Sorry Dorian.
