How good is Thousand Cuts for an archer, really?
It's one of the most ridiculous abilities in the game (in a good way).

Actually, it's impossible to execute him.
Damn. Oh well it's to the cells he goes then!
I see, people here are mocked for actually talking about the substance of the characters, as opposed to making puns and talking them up.
TB, you came in here with a conclusion, not a question. You said you saw no purpose for Sera in your Inquisition, and so you didn't recruit her. People presented counter arguments which you disagreed with. If you don't want Sera in your party that's your thing. You're the one who came in here sounding aggressive and now you complain because people are reacting to that.
Were you hoping people would convince you to change your mind? Or that you would change other people's mind?
You can keep from killing her? Seriously?? This is fantastic news!
Yea, you have to have 85+ court approval, and have to choose, I'll talk with her. I keep choosing the middle line when it starts. which sorta dictates the Inquisitors mood of the whole thing, backhanded remarks, coupled with witty remarks.
Heck you can get Briala and Celene back together if you want to....
to each their own, but I will say this,
Spoiler
And Sera TOTES approved of it.

Looking so forward to the ball. I had 95 approval, I must have just missed that option; I was focused on
*shudders at the thought*
It's actually a good thing though.
Edit: And Cassandra approves! Who would have guessed?
I always find it weird when some say they refused or turned down a certain companion because they found them unappealing (for whatever reason). To me, that is essentially screwing one's self out of content. In the case of a full-fledged companion such as Sera, it's especially strange, because you know she is a main character in the game, and not recruiting her entails missing out on quests and a considerable amount of conversations.
I understand not liking a character, but to the point of purposefully taking them out of your game? That just sounds absurd to me.

eh, I really don't see what's wrong, then again, I've not actually read TME, plus there's a couple of lines at the ball if you do reunite them... -shrugs-

I recruited everyone for the first playthrough, but this time I tailored my companions to my inquisitor's wishes.
It's because we aren't limited to one playthrough that we can pick and choose who to keep.

S***! I still haven't finished that book!

I'm not likely to read any of them, especially after the ME disaster of Kai Leng suddenly being important to the story,
It's actually a good thing though.

I was talking in general. I know you recruited her the first time around ![]()

i'm not looking for people to convince me to recruit her, I'm trying to discuss how appealing she really is when you think about it from an efficiency-oriented Inquisitor's point of view, since we're given the choice of whether to recruit her or not. This IS the forum for discussing her character, right?
Well fine, she doesn't appeal to your Inquisition that's fine, but if you don't bother to get to know her at all simply based on first impressions you're missing out in the long run. Everyone deserves a chance I feel.
Maybe the problem is that you haven't actually recruited her.
At least I gave Sera a chance before mouthing off about her.
I'm not "mouthing off about her", I'm talking about the decision to recruit her with the rationale we are given.

I said her presentation didn't seem to give me much reason from a RP standpoint. People presented their counter arguments which I argued against, at which point people started calling me names and making fun of me. I didn't make any personal remarks or pretend to know what you guys were thinking, I didn't ridicule your opinions and I didn't say jack that was off-topic, and the only reason I sound "aggressive" is because I'm not praising the character to the stars, which I can't as I haven't gotten to know her since I wasn't given sufficient reason to let her join my character's law-enforcement agency before I was forced to choose between that or saying goodbye for the playthrough.
It would indeed have been nice to hear if anyone felt the same way, but the reason I brought it up was that I simply felt like talking about it. But no, instead people act like I'm attacking their right to make their own decisions even though I've done absolutely nothing of the sort.
Nooo.... Celene needed to face justice for the murder of an entire alienage. It was delicious that justice was served by a hand of her own kin. Even more delicious was serving justice on the second culprit of the aforementioned mass-murder. Gaspard got a fate that was for him, worse than death: he became Briala's b*tch.
This answer from me can't possibly be a surprise, poodle
That answer from you isn't a surprise, Machine.

I didn't recruit her my first run because the character of my Inquisitor couldn't justify wanting her on board. My second playthrough will probably be different, independent of my own feelings towards her as a character.

I mouthed off about her yesterday; I was referring to myself, not you.
Question in regards to mage spec as I have yet to commit, which is the best spec? I'm leaning towards rift mage but I also like the KE. I mainly focus in ice and spirit thus far, one lightning and fire move also.

You... you... *broken-hearted*

I really like lightning, but that's because one of the moves gives you a purple soap bubble of lightning, and I'm a goof who likes visuals like that.
