I didn't realize SDCC was so close to E3 this year.

I was at the Denver Comic Con.  Mark Meer was there too, but I didn't get a chance to meet him.  He's doing a "meet n greet" for the last day tomorrow, so we're going back.

You may now continue with your usual Sera goodness.  ;)

I wonder how the banter between Sera and the other companions will be.

Well, Iron Bull has some funny stuff with her, but I think he'll be like that with everyone. He seems to be like DAI's version of Wrex and Grunt from the ME franchise.

It just sucks that males seem to be cut off from this, as far as romances go. It doesn't look like any rogue-ish companions will be available. DAO had it's epic themes, but at least you had Zevran or Leliana (Zev more than Leli. He kept it light all the time).

I'm not sure what you are cut off from?  You can still experience that part of her character.

I mean, I'm really interested in the Friends of Red Jenny too, but there's really not much to speculate about yet.  Are we only allowed to talk about where she got her kickass tartan leggings for the next four months here?

I can tell that you
That you shop at Hot Topic!
'Cause you look sorta skater punk rock and kinda, sorta gothic.

It's not parody or sarcasm
It's only to observe
That the source of your clothes is quite easy to discern.

Of course. It's just more fun to romance your favorite type of characters (not necessarily Sera btw.. just speaking of general archetypes).

I can play these games without romance fine (or just picking some "second choice" simply to just mess around), but it's not like I really want to. I'd rather I have an experience I can connect to better. But it isn't happening here.

I think he means more like how Garrus was always somewhat lighthearted in scenes, if you romance him you experience more of that side from him than when he is just your friend. So to use measurements, male Inquisitors will only ever experience maybe 60% of that, thus cut off from the other 40%.

Sera being Red Jenny is actually quite plausible. For one thing all our companions are meant to be influential (I think) and I seem to remember talk of her having a network of thieves. Also, her outfit is rather red.

I'm in camp "Sera is Red Jenny" myself.

Prior to Dragon Age II, we learned that all our companions had done something important in Kirkwall, which was why Cassandra knew about their activities.

This made sense for Anders, Varric, Aveline, and Isabela, but what did Fenris ever do?

I suspect 'you are a leader of leaders!' is marketing speak for 'many of your companions are people of importance in Thedas.'

It isn't necessarily more content. They're just not covering the bases here. There is no rogue available for romance (as a male). As far as romance goes at least, there's no connection to any of that part of Dragon Age.

I guess that shows what some guys mean when they say they're interested in a girl's character. ;)

I'm a guy, who will play a male Inqui' first, and I'm still interested in Sera's character.

I just hope there is a dialogue where she reject him like Traynor in ME3, this will be pretty funny  ... and heartbroken.  :(

I heard it as "All shall bend the knee to my domination!" >:3

Well in my game Fenris did nothing but drink wine. I think there was something wrong with my disc or his quest line only started if he was in party for a certain quest.

Given that she's quite outspoken you might not want to hear her reject you. It might hurt your feels even more.:(

I know how you feel, for sure.

I only ever felt ripped off with character dev (by missing romance content) with Jack in ME2 but I still felt pretty close (friendship wise) to all the other women I couldn't romance in BW games.  Like, Morrigan was pretty good about this.

Well, that was one companion, I hope more companions have similar styles in their banter with her.

Oh yeah. I sympathize with people who wanted to romance Jack another way. She's awesome. :)

If I heard about someone running around magically fisting people, I'd keep tabs on them too.

I'm half-expecting something like:

M!quisitor: *first flirt*

Sera: "Sorry, not into men." or "Woah, easy there. I don't swing that way."

LOL, Carver was one of my favorite characters in DA2, so I'm okay with Sera being completely unimpressed with my Inquisitor, at least until there's a chance to prove myself to her.

Sera: You're good looking, charming, and seem to be doing all right for yourself! So...do you have a sister?

I doubt I'll choose any flirt option now that I already now. It just sucks too much to even go there :D

Hmm...I'm not sure, will there even be flirt options?

I don't think they've ever given them to the gender that's locked out of romance.

I couldn't flirt with Morrigan as a female.
