Given that she's quite outspoken you might not want to hear her reject you. It might hurt your feels even more.
In that case there better be a reply borrowed from Alistair:
"That hurt my manly feelings. All one of them."

Dragon Age in general has been pretty good about friendship vs. romance, so I could see Sera offering a good deal of content/dialogue that isn't related to her romantic subplot.
Mass Effect, however, was not. Not always. (e.g. Jack, ME3 Ashley, ME2 Garrus)
I was at the Denver Comic Con. Mark Meer was there too, but I didn't get a chance to meet him. He's doing a "meet n greet" for the last day tomorrow, so we're going back.
You may now continue with your usual Sera goodness.
I didn't realise we had to pause the thread just for you.
How special.
Hmm...I'm not sure, will there even be flirt options?
I don't think they've every given them to the gender that's locked out of romance.
I couldn't flirt with Morrigan as a female.
It was possible to flirt with Aveline even though she was slated for a straight romance with someone other than you.
Personally, I think we'll get more precedent from DA2 than Origins in the flirting department.
I might be a glutton for punishment (at least for the times when I'm playing a male Inquisitor), but I'm almost hoping she'd be a shameless flirt with the Inquisitor, regardless of gender. In the case of a male one, it would obviously not be anything sexual on her part, just for the fun of the flirting itself. I wouldn't mind having a bit of lighthearted fun while getting my heart crushed.

I thought the stuff with Aveline was more playful teasing than serious flirting, but I see your point.

Well, the whole point of that particular story arc was to allow the player to get their hopes up with Aveline only to be crushed mercilessly. That really wouldn't apply to something like Morrigan (or Alistair too for males).

Probably, yeah. Especially if it is her bratty side that takes over during it.
If she is mean about it, then she can say hello to my bench.

On my list of 'things I, as a lesbian, don't want to see them do with this lesbian character', "still flirts with dudes b/c...lol?" is one of them.

Was this actually stated somewhere? I didn't get that impression with her.
Though, I agree it's not something that would apply to Morrigan or Alistair since those two were full-fledged love interests.

I'm obviously not a lesbian, so I can't fully relate. But I regularly exchange flirtatious, joking banter with people I have absolutely no intention or desire to sleep with, and my friends do the same in return. I just think it's fun.
Her taking the role of Isabela in teasing the Inquisitor in whatever relationship he or she might be in would be great, too.

I wonder if she'll be able to top, "If you stick your thumb up his ***, I win" while talking with Cassandra.
Double points if she's saying this about an Inquisitor/Cass paring.
I wonder if she could make a nod to that IF in a romance with the female Inquisitor.

Do you do it with a gender you're not attracted to?
This isn't a bad trait for a character to have in itself.
I don't think flirting should be possible at all (if male). Why should this happen now when it was never an option before with my female character and a non-available straight female?
Now, there's a lesbian companions...how does it look if the male PC can not just flirt with her but she flirts back? I would like her romance content (even if it's flirting that goes nowhere) to exist completely independent of men and have nothing to do with men.

No, I was preventing a derail by talking too much about a convention. Do you have anything else to add about the character Sera, or was your response to me all you wanted to say?
Probably, yeah. Especially if it is her bratty side that takes over during it.
If she is mean about it, then she can say hello to my bench.
Yeah, I hate to say it but I'm the same way.
Do you do it with a gender you're not attracted to?
Yes. EDIT: and people who I guarantee aren't attracted to me, either do it with me. So I'd at least like to think this isn't me being a total pig.
I suppose I mean more like something along the lines of "joking around with your friends, sometimes with a tone that might be construed as flirtatious, but with an unspoken (or spoken) agreement that neither has any illusions of ever sleeping or even wanting to sleep with the other". That just seemed a bit unwieldy to write.
And that tavern concept art is actually a story she's telling about the Inquisitor she's romancing.

Yes unless I can flirt with all the romance, I really do not thing the option should be there at all.

I was going to say the saaaaame thing. She's our first lesbian in this franchise, giving mixed signals or being accused of "leading straight guys on", or using it as evidence to how it'd have been "so easy to turn her bi" since so many flirts are there for men as well, is just not something I'm interested in at all.

Considering how some male players call Traynor a "tease" for being what they deem as flirty with their male Shepards, I agree, I think it would lead to distasteful comments about Sera, and there are plenty of ways to show she's friendly or enjoys a male Inquisitor's company without flirting.
Yes.

I guess my big issue is 'Why does it have to be about men when it doesn't have to be about men?'
Why can't male players learn about Sera's sexuality by witnessing her flirting with Cassandra or Vivienne (I'd like to see that)?
Why is 'male PC flirts with Sera and is turned down cuz lesbian' even necessary? I know it's something people do and it can be funny, but it's not something BW's done in most other situations like this...except....
they did this with Samantha Traynor...didn't care for it much there either.

We were talking about banter.
none of us really care.
I care. So that's untrue.
I just don't think that Sera is Red Jenny herself. Im sure she's high ranking and have many people working under her.
I agree...it doesn't seem like she'd want to be bothered with the responsibility.
