There's the rub. I think all these articles and just about everyone who is interested in her character wants to know more details about what happened in her childhood...

Oh dear, the standard psychological opener. 'Tell me about your childhood, Sera'. :D

She's fictional anyway. What's the harm?

No harm in fiction, but I think that in the real world far too much weight gets put in these tests by companies and other people and organisations who should know better.

Well seeing as the vast majority of her past is her childhood, I think it's relevant here. :P

When I look at the game Cass is everything I thought she would be and I wish she could have been a female Li but the way it is my inquisitors have to just enjoy being friends with her.

Sera is special too me, her issues make me identify with her more than any character. Growing up confused, sad and later extremely angry, somehow it makes me feel for Sera. It's difficult for me to express why I identify with her so much and why I'm so sensitive to the hatred and disappointment in her character by so many. All I want to do is have my inquisitors make her feel good about herself and help her, I just wish there was a way to really help her with some of the issues. I'm also quiet and introverted which for me makes Sera appealing as she's the opposite of me, which can be a very good thing.

Josie is so sweet and pretty but I just haven't been able to romance her, she had the disadvantage of being so opposite of Cass and I just couldn't get interested due to how hung up I was on Cass. It's going to be difficult now as all I want to do is romance Sera. In DA2 I romanced Isabela about nine times and Merrill once I can see this happening again.

Another character that I find a strange kind of identification with is Cole, being invisible, forgettable and feeling pain when someone is hurting are things I've felt or feel now. It actually has made it difficult to be around Cole very much.

Oh the loathing is there, but loathing your life and feeling unable to escape it is to me distinct from loathing yourself.

Truth. Personal experience.

I will refrain from the obvious joke, but maybe I should have said Germanophone bonus...

Cass and Sera have ended up as my favorite companions along with Varric and Dorian. I get why people have been disappointed with Sera but she's also a very rich character with a lot of interesting quirks and she's not all bad or anything. She's got a good heart underneath it all. I can see how you can empathize with her. I think a lot of others just wrote her off too quickly although I understand their reaction.

I really need to do more with Cole. I need more playthroughs and it's going to be hard to set Cassandra aside as well as Sera so I can experience the others.

To be fair while I call myself trilingual that's because of French and Spanish, and my French is a little rusty these days due to lack of use. My German is... Good enough to get that joke.

My German's barely enough to know when an enemy wants to frag me in a WWII game, care to explain the joke?

Ageist. A geist. Geist is German for ghost, at least in one translation. I think it can mean other things too. It's where the words Poltergeist and Zeitgeist come from.

I see where you are coming from. I can sympathise with Sera and appreciate that she's had it rough and is still having it rough, and yes I feel sorry for her, but she's not someone I would hang out with, let alone get involved with.

I'm very introverted and very territorial when it comes to my personal space so her general attitude is extremely unpleasant for me. She's not the type who would understand the concept of 'comfortable silence'. That's a big minus for her as far as I'm concerned, but that's just my preference, not a flaw in itself.

My male Quiz has the same hair-doo. It's appalling isn't it? Like some emo disaster. I had to give him a scar on his cheek so he wouldn't look like a complete refugee from a bad boy-band. Terrible hair-styles in this game for the most part.

I real life, I'd be 100% with you. For some reason in the game I can tolerate her. I can go with "opposites attract" when it's just fiction and I don't have to endure real-world stress. ;)

It's the most Sera-like haircut...

Which is the reason my first Quizzy, Arianne, had it.

They were similar in some ways even before they met!
