There is some disturbing stuff in this game, but that just puts this game on another level.

But he has a conscience and he feel guilt..and it hunted him.....So while what he did was wrong . He has remorse...some do bad stuff...and never feel squat..beside being entitled to do bad stuff...

It's what that event did to him. He regretted doing it, he says he should have gone over there and cut the rope, but he was scared. He just wanted to pretend it wasn't happening, like most people at a young age. Any form of trauma a child witnesses, they try to block it out, even when it's happening. They try to go to their happy place, a place where they can feel safe. But that encounter changed his beliefs. He now feels that he has to do something, something that can make a difference, which is why he went with the Warden.
