So he is merrill...number 2 ? great.....just great...
If nothing else, he's good at annoying Vivienne. He's as bad as Bull for dying though.

I really need to take Cole out more, but I usually only have one rogue in my party and right now Sera ain't going anywhere. Next playthrough I am planning on playing as a rogue, too. Hmmm...
I always do 2 rogue party and it works well. Unless you are playing on the harder difficulties, then I don't know.
Yeah, Merrill's naïveté felt a bit forced, tbh. Cole's makes perfect sense, and his stumbling around in people's memories is fascinating. He's not for everyone, but he's worth taking out with your faves just to see what you learn about them.
Muh..he remind me of Thane..those flashback memorie he had..didnt like them then..I certainly dont like them now...

Yeah I'm on hard at the moment. considering nightmare next time. Rogues tend to be squsihy, especially DW like Cole....

I'm not but Im sucking at building....
Like...Hum....archery..ya take everything everything?? Like all the buttons in there ??
I dunno.....So far...I'm tired trying to figure out..so I just go auto-lvl up....and roll with that . I have no issue with Mage abilities . Its everyone else..warrior and rogue that I dont know what I'm supposed to pick..
Like blackwall end up with taunt , challenge and horns..does he need all 3 ?? he has that hook abilitie..but he rarely drag anyone to him .
cass get this charge trough someone abilitie..but she always miss and end up far away...and someone end up dead cose of it...
Sera get that flip out of danger attack..and always end up falling to her death cose she never look behind her..although..I gave her stealth wich made her survive a tiny bit longer then before...
Harder difficulties, generally, you want to take as much damage as possible, no sense in filling the party with loads of squishy people.

Does he have "hook" in his ability wheel thing. I don't think they (companions) can use abilities that aren't on the wheel.
I usually take one Rogue and that's Sera of late. I did take Cole out with Bull last night to hunt a dragon and Cole kept going into invisible mode even when not in combat and it was a bit odd. Unfortunately all the banter was between Bull and Dorian.

I tend to run with two mages on hard and don't have so much of an issue. You just need to position them away from the fight and concentrate on eliminating enemy ranged characters first while your tank soaks up aggro from the melée enemies. Same with a ranged rogue. It's the DW rogues and two-handed warriors that it's tougher to keep out of trouble, at least the way I play.
well here Cass..I took everything in that tree for her...

and here are her stats . And there is the accesory..who need bleeding belt ? and who need health belt ? It isnt clear....argh..

With Sera you should invest in her Tempest skills.
Flask of Fire and Flask of Lightning with both upgrades and Thousand Cuts being the main ones to go for.
As far as Archery goes, I go down the Explosive Shot side to get Pincushion since it works with Flask of Lightning and Thousand Cuts.
Just my two cents, take it for what it's worth.
Thats what Stella said..but before I get the damn tempest...I have to put point somewhere.....ya only get those after Skyhold no ?

I always find my rogue (archer) and mage grab to much aggro from the ranged enemies that they end up taking damage; and ranged enemies deal a lot of damage which isn't good. I have to use a second warrior to grab all of that aggro back which is annoying but it works.
Not trying to say your way of playing is wrong or bad or whatever. I'm just putting mine out there.

2 mages on Nightmare is a great setup, tbh. Dual barrier , heck yeah.
DW seems impossible until you can craft guard hitting weapons unless you just constantly hand hold, but I haven't tried it yet.
Yeah, which is why I don't mind the idea of playing as one as I'll likely be paying more attention to what (s)he is doing. It was similar in DAII. My DW Hawke was a goddess of destruction but poor old Bela kept dying on me...
Btw anyone know wth is spirit damage?? cose when I look at spirit tree all is green weed ability that make ya feel better lol and nothing to hurt tha ennemy ![]()

Spirit damage only comes on staffs and possibly runes, I never really noticed before. The only spirit damage ability I know off is mind blast, and that's not exactly great for damage.
But they never look around !!!
Sera flipped back in that bandit fortress..and she end up falling one lvl below..and she couldnt come back in the fight ![]()
