No, that's not an article about how Anders was a sexual predator. That's an article about the petition and how people are disagreeing with it.

This actually demonstrates how Anders isn't a sexual predator. And just because apparently this needs asking... why is a guy hitting on a girl (once) normal, but a guy hitting on a guy (once) is being a predator? How is that ok? Are people gonna complain if Sera flirts on your FemQuisitor without asking? I sure hope not.
Anders is forward, that's part of who he is.

My problem with Anders and his romantic advances wasn't that they were targeted at women as well as men, but it was the fact that when you turn him down he turns into a giant pouty man baby with no regards for your characters feelings or comfort level. Being unable to handle rejection like an adult is really really unattractive. I don't think he was a sexual predator, he was just whiny... And a terrorist.

I want to talk about Sera's eyeliner. If her appearance is meant to convey a combination of haphazard and indifferent, why does she have thick, thick eyeliner on?
Wouldn't it be more reflective of her character to have little or no make-up?

Being unattractive is not the same as being a sexual predator.

I'd like to see her with an Arrow type paint mask. I'm not sure the panda eyes do anything useful and it just makes me think she's been looking through binoculars with shoe polish on them.

I'm not a big make up person, but I always put on extra eye-liner when I'm doing important things like slaying my enemies (aka, presentations/speeches/etc). Helps certain people to keep their attention in the right place, that being said, she does wear a lot.
Who knows why Sera does it. Could be that reason, could be because she's got a giant crush on Leliana and she wants to show off her eyes, could just be a personal preference.

Maybe having dramatic facepaint instead, like some caped superheroes do in lieu of masks or something that can look a bit like camouflage. The smeared line of paint that goes across both eyes and the bridge of the nose in a streak. It's an outlaw/bandit look that can also be quite high fashion in certain cases, so it can look very aesthetically pleasing, imo. Would be quicker than applying meticulous eyeliner, anyway.
Or, you know... it can always be handwaved with: magic did it.

Maybe she tries to only put a little on but it just ends up going everywhere, and she can't be bothered to take it off and try again.

They were probably going for something like this.

This looks better and less make-up like.

Likewise, I'm already sure that I will be making Sera dual-wield and be on the frontline with Cassandra (while Vivienne and my Qunari Magess cover ranged damage and healing).
Sera is always shown as ranged. I hope we will have the chance to make her effective as dual wield without having half of her talent points gone down the drain.
Two ranged rogues seem very superfluous to me.
From what I have seen, I like Sera's personality best, but I find little use for yet another ranged fighter.
Does anybody if we can respec companions? Or how established the talent points of the companions already are?

Our companions have always been customizable with their skills and ability points and talent trees and specializations. I don't see that changing for Inquisition. How established and preset character skills might be upon recruiting, or if there is a way to respec their starting/default skills (if any) are good questions, though.

I wonder if Sera is a rebel without a cause...meaning she likes the idea of rebellion more than the actual changes a rebellion could bring.
From what I've been reading about her , it seems she doesn't want things to change all that much.
I guess she liked her life the way it was , and maybe she's a bit disgusted about the situation of city elves but misery brings her opportunities (she can easily find partner in crimes among her people etc...).

My take on it is that she's anti-fashion. She doesn't care if she looks bad, but she wants to make sure everyone knows she doesn't care. And I imagine she might enjoy getting a rise out of nobles who find her look distasteful.

Based on what I've read on her I'd say she'll be my primary romance...I like the irreverent, fight for the common-folk stance she apparently has. I hope though I get to make her get all gussied up for the ballroom dance and gathering just for the sarcastic remarks I can already hear in my head. And of course she'll be drop dead gorgeous.

Yeah but Stephen Amell can look good in anything.... Unfair comparisonThey were probably going for something like this.
This looks better and less make-up like.
Edit:
Also some people may not care about how they appear to others but enjoy how certain makeup looks on them. This is reminiscent of guyliner, which many men wear cause they love the look of them despite what others think.
Just saying.

All that talk about Leliana's relationship with a female warden makes me sad considering the relationship was pretty much ignored in Origins ![]()

I do love me some "guyliner" on guys. Besides, it's not as though eyeliner/highlighting the eyes or other cosmetics is a woman-only thing, it has a foundation that stretches far back in history among various cultures (past and present).

Don't worry. It only gets mentioned once, maybe twice for blokes. And it's just a bit of "Hee, hee how scandalous!" from Alistair.

Even when men wore it in ancient times it was the elite doing so. Your average guy wasn't wearing it. These places were mostly in asia as well.
Nowadays cosmetics are for women only. And men that want to girl it up of course lol.

When you look at the picture of The Arrow, you don't get the impression he's wearing eyeliner, just that he's made a really bad attempt at disguise (makes more sense with the hood up). Sera just looks like she's really overdone it with the eye liner, it's a thinner much darker line that could in some pictures pass for a marker pen.
