I'm gonna try really hard to be uber nice to Sera for the Aubrey playthrough.

Talk to her more cause that's where she has grown on me. That and her genuine concern for the poor and those too weak to defend themselves against the powerful.

I will talk to her constantly and bring her everywhere. :)

I remember last time, she used to always greet me with "Sitting and waiting, great yeah?" Because I never took her outside, lol.

Suggestion: Spec Cole as an archer (long distance fighting FTW) and take both him and Sera to the Hissing Wastes (lots of banters there for some reason). He can provide invaluable insight.

Edit:

Read her diary! (well, her Cabinet of Wonders Whose It Was) CWWIT?

Really? Even though Sera seems to hate Cole? She's always so mean and telling him to shut up!

It's going to be so bloody weird not having Bull everywhere I go!

Don't worry you'll soon get used to your warrior not dieing all the time.

I'll do that as I've still some quests to do there. I've got Cole as the dual-blade assassin though with Sera spec'd as the archer.

It's what he says that's important. And one of their later banter is adorable.

Dude, he's like invincible in my playthroughs. I mean, I'm on casual, but he's been by my side through it all!

If they all have tier 3 bows, a three-rogue party with a tank can manage the Hissing Wastes. Lots of open terrain makes for good long distance shots. Just use that super powered shot that puts enemies to sleep, go into stealth while it recharges, then repeat.

Hmm...no mage? Wild suggestion but I might try that just to see it in action. I want to close some rifts there soon. I am lvl 20 now so even though I haven't done everything possible I might try and wrap up the first campaign this weekend.

Well, if you want to collect the tombs you need a mage, but otherwise. I always play an archer rogue myself (tried everything else, couldn't get into it), so I guess if you are the tank or the mage it works out. Three archers can anihilate small groups before they even get into range. I find it's very useful against dragons, especially the ones in larger areas. Getting shot from every direction.

Warrior is one of those classes that starts out underwhelming but gets progressively better as you level up. This is especially true for the sword/shield specialization; at some point you will start building up guard like no tomorrow. I was killing dragons without my health bar getting touched once.

I did the tombs and took Dorian. But I want to hit the rifts there just to level my party up to 20 for the final fights.

Spoiler

It's sooooooooo mysterious. :D

Saved up my cash, collecting dem shards came in handy, totally worth it, fabulous war nugs.

I'm even considering RPing a believing andsrastean for the first time ever in a DA game....

I normally don't play a religious character myself, not very religious in life but for something different and for my human it made sense for me to have her being pretty religious, liked the dialogue with Cass and Lels in this regard. Also I lol'd looking at Sera's diary, read religious stuff for her, don't understand, get Mother Giselle to explain it, got bored.

https://www.fanficti...71393/1/Buckles

You people need to read this fanfic....

You just... you just have, alright. If you were left heartbroken with the Sera romance after Mythal, especially if you made a faithful Elf Inquisitor, then this will be chicken soup for sad soul.

Trust me here. By the last chapter your going to wish Bioware had taken this direction with the romance. That good.

Oh, cool I'll check it out later, thanks. ;)

what...just happened? why was this thread locked?!?

Dang I miss all the drama it seems. Bad troll I take it, only caught a few posts catching up.

my sister discovered DA:I. And now she won't let me play cuz she's addicted.*sigh*

Injuring family is bad, injuring family is bad, injuring...

Aha, I know that feel *there there*

Managed to share with mine quite well she finished her first playthrough the other day but lol she raged when Viv was made Divine in her game, she asked me what she did wrong and I explained it was a matter of her choices throughout the game, also it didn't help that she supported Viv at the war table. She mistakenly thought she was helping Cass as she would have been happy with Lels or Cass *IDK*

So not wanting to make a new game she decided to reload a very old save, one back in Haven and start again. So with Solas and Viv reveals, her first playthrough was pretty frustrating and disappointing for her. Lol I just hope she doesn't get Viv again, I'll have to guide her me thinks. :P

Wow, the romance with Sera and a human was easy, almost too easy. Probably has do with knowing how to romance her now, I made a list of how to romance her but most probably have it figured it out now.

Ditto on the very easy option. Just finished my 2nd playthrough recently, all hail Divine Cass! :D  I allied with the mages, was very Andrastian and was deeply pro mage, I expected Lels tho but I suppose officially supporting Cass at the war table turned the odds in my favour. So two playthroughs, got Lels as my Divine in my original run and Cass in my mage run, romanced Sera successfully in both. Much more easily in my human run tho, lol no fighting, no fiery elf moments. Also that scene after Mythal, *didn't bring Sera with me this time* when you could say to Sera what if some of it is true, lol her response why are you saying this, you ain't even an elf, why are you acting all elfy?  Well she said you can believe some of that stuff if you want, still think it makes you look stupid but I don't mind dating an idiot, d'aww thanks Sera.

Sooooooo much more easy going, hell if she said something like that to my elf, I wouldn't even be mad, just made me chuckle.

For curiosity sake that is my mage Alexandria Trevalyen above. Prob spelled that surname wrong. :/

And I'm still catching up, Maker preserve me, y'all talk too much. :P

Well that's a relief. Never once have I played a sword and shield character, and I'm slightly concerned. But I figured it fits Aubrey's spoiled princely image that I'm trying to cultivate.

Varric is good for story reasons if you're doing the tombs. I really liked having his commentary.

Shield bash really works wonders with foes who try and use guard on you. Just obliterates their guard.

Sera's banter really shut down in the tombs so I might take Varric next go.

I'm pretty sure if you complete the 'Support Cassandra' operation at the War Table, she becomes Divine at the end. The game tells you as much.

I actually purposefully ignored that operation when it appeared for me for that reason.

I thought that operation would change based on your conversations and who you supported in the dialogue wheel?

The game has not given me an option to support Viv. So how does that get triggered? I can't support Lels as I did her quest last night and it did not go well. I tried every bit of conversation with Leliana to get another option including reloading an old save and the outcome was still pretty bad for Lels. Left me wondering how that outcome is triggered if you can't really dissuade her with conversation options your given?
