I'd choose both. I'd want her to choose both. But she does strike me as more of a Cat person probably because they'd be more independent, she could leave them for a bit, and like Uncle suggested she wouldn't have to walk the Cat.

At first I was thinking the cat, because I don't think she'd like taking dogs for walks, but then I thought that the dog would worship her unconditionally and want to be her friend, and maybe she'd appreciate that more than a more independent animal...

Some cats can be real snugglers though. I got one of those. :D  But given her general attitude and hunger for approval, I would guess she's a dog person. Or maybe she'd like something less conventional. Like a ferret (they stink though). Although I'm not sure I would trust her with any kind of pet...

They can be. My calico is and the others are too...when they want to be, however she could leave a cat for adventures or missions. You cannot leave a dog on it's own for any real length of time or not in my experience at least.

Actually according to banter with VIv she's been collecting spiders.

That was the point, it comes after a trip to the fade. There was mention of leaving them in people's underwear I believe.
