Then it would not make sense to do panda eyes. Unless its water resistant it will streak when you sweat. Not so bad if its below the eye, not such a great idea when its above the eye too.

My problem with Anders and his romantic advances wasn't that they were targeted at women as well as men, but it was the fact that when you turn him down he turns into a giant pouty man baby with no regards for your characters feelings or comfort level. Being unable to handle rejection like an adult is really really unattractive. I don't think he was a sexual predator, he was just whiny... And a terrorist.

Being unattractive is not the same as being a sexual predator.

I want to talk about Sera's eyeliner. If her appearance is meant to convey a combination of haphazard and indifferent, why does she have thick, thick eyeliner on?

Wouldn't it be more reflective of her character to have little or no make-up?

i mentioned before, she probably wears eye liner like that to help keep reflections down when she is aiming her bow, kind of like a mlb baseball player

Nowadays cosmetics are for women only. And men that want to girl it up of course lol.

 

That's untrue.  For one example, many men today still use surma or khol for religious or cultural practices, and simple preferences.

I wanted to romance Anders in DAA. He was just the epitome of coolness. I still remember his introduction, standing over a pile of slaughtered bodies. "It wasn't me!"

 

At first, I was glad to see him back in DAII. But then I realized he's gone psycho and mopey and whiney, and I was like "dude, just because I'm nice to you doesn't mean I want your tongue in my mouth. No, no need to cry or get angry."

That's how i think about her eyeliner aswell. It does make quite a bit of sense

Also, Vivienne's been announced as a character longer than Sera has, so her fan art has had longer to accumulate.  After last week, now the Sera art is really starting to flow in.  It's been much to the delight of her fans, and thanks to the talented artists for doing it.

And as far as the eyeliner goes, her's is very dark and obvious, bus Cassandra has quite a bit of eyeliner too. It's just not as dramatic because it's blended into a more smokey look I guess, but it's still a lot considering her occupation.

 

 

 

Maybe they have an in game explanation, maybe they don't. Maybe they wear it for the same reason women in the real world wear it, it makes them look and feel hotter. Who knows.

It could also be a quirk of the lighting as well.  I have noticed that some of the still shots of the trailers can do odd things to hair and eye color, so it's possible it could do some weird things to shading and shadows as well.  <shrug>
