Eh, I disagree and agree on that.
I do wish there was more dwarf content, particularly non Andrastrian, but in DA:I you were playing as an Andrastrian (or agnostic/atheist...you can headcanon whatever you want, and i did, but those are the supported beliefs in the game) dwarf, essentially, so all the stuff with the Chantry matter just as much to you as the humans and qunari, and more than the Dalish. The Dalish content really only matters if you're an elf, and you're an elfy elf, otherwise it doesn't have to be important.
We've kind of discussed this extensively in the dwarf thread though, so I won't get into it too much unless someone really cares, but I think there's so much interesting dwarf content in this game, it's just kind of buried in the background, and I had no problem at all feeling connected to everything. :shrug: I mean, no matter what you'e the Herald of Andraste and driving the main plot, does it really matter if you're not human? Idk. I've played all the races, didn't notice any difference in meaningfulness except with my elfy elf dalish mage. And even then, I preferred my dwarven rogues.
