I'm starting to figure out how to use Tempest as a DW. it is a slow process because the leveling up starts to slow down every time I get to the double digits so right now I only have Flask of Fire upgraded. Went ahead and killed the Crestwood dragon. didn't die like I thought I would.

I chose to make my Hawke, Symbian, mature. She was only about 19 in my canon when they had to run from Lothering. For some reason though, she was imported as a sword/board warrior which is completely wrong. =\

*edit* anddd I didn't see the troll come through. if I ever see someone use the term social justice warrior on here, I auto ignore them. that's also why I quietly lurk in other parts of the forum. some of y'all ain't real.

what colors do you guys think sera looks best in? i'm dumping all the da files so i can start more seriously making ~~~cool outfits~~~ for my faves...crafting is fun but i gotta serious problem now. THEY ENABLED ME OK. playing dress-up is too much fun. just retextures for now, but i think we will be able to import meshes soon enough so i will be able to give sera the punk rock hipster outfits of my dreams <33

I think she looks lovely in red. I crafted a warden medium armor. the leather is a shiny purple-ish and the plate is blood red. She looks great.

At the moment that I do, I will pm you Serza. Right now I'm getting acclimated to using upgraded flask of fire. you did say I could spam death blow with that but I haven't been able to do so. the cooldown is quite lengthy and I think I upgraded it too.

Ooh I love purple and red together, that sounds lovely. Good suggestion! Red seems thematically appropriate anyway.

I just don't get why people feel the need to announce loudly that they don't like a character, shrug. If it's appropriate, I'll discuss issues I have and it's certainly cool to express negative views here in a constructive way, but I wouldn't go into a fan thread like YO I HATE YER FAVE.

Some ppl just give way too much weight to their own opinion... it's always awkward to see them striding in like "BEHOLD, MY THOUGHTS" when no one gives a crap.

There are already enough "I don't like..." threads for everyone to go into to have a rant in. You'd think the intent of something that's called the "seranade" would be obvious to most but apparently it isn't.

There is a large percentage of people on the internet that don't understand basic concepts. There should be a test, meet a certain IQ and you can use the internet. Fail... you're back to library books.

I respecced again. Is it wrong that I like the sabotage abilities more than the assassin ones? That poison gas bomb... and those throwing knives! Assassin spec is really good for the passives, but the main attack abilities... Meh.

 

I'm also dual daggering now. It's pretty good at higher levels. I destroyed the Storm Coast dragon with them (and some attack tonic)

I think that it's nice there's a Sera fan thread and there's even debate in here about Sera but I don't think the intent of that person what to have a debate. There are a few Sera hate threads for them to visit was my point.

I prefer Archer just because its safe, I don't have to worry about dodging AoE attacks. I almost never get targeted myself and when I do I just stealth, run to a new location, and go back to the ownage. Being a Rogue myself means I can take a party of Cass + Mages. One sets up Static Cage and then Dorian casts walking bomb. Hilarity. Cast fire flask and spam explosive shot into Static Cage to set off as many procs as possible. So many lighting strikes.......its SO pretty. Static Cage + Whirlwind is another fun combo for setting off as many lighting procs as possible and if anyone gets paralyzed it will also detonate it.

 

Though I agree that Sabotage is a really good tree. I give it to Varric, Throwing Knives' sunder effect is fantastic for my archer. I still get Mercy kills for my Archer though since knockout power is a powerful CC ability (saves my butt from dangerous enemies like terror demons) and 100% Crit chances vs sleeping enemies is great early on.  Though if you go into the Assassin spec which has a sleep ability, then skipping the subterfuge tree for the sabotage tree's poison effects is certainly viable.

 

 

Also, as an added note for all who are trying to get Iron Bull to work well on nightmare, give him the turn the bolt upgrade. It works even when using 2h weapons and will greatly reduce the damage he takes from archers.
