Also BC since you're around, how'd you like the Josie romance?

I liked it just fine, but I will say it makes more sense with a man because of a certain scene. Her inner circle quest happens earlier than the other advisors', so it can seem like she has less content if you do it early.

 

There is also no positive proof that the relationship gets physical and quite a few people are ticked by that. Although the Inquisitor obviously fondles her butt in the repeatable kissing scene so...

 

The best bits are hidden in casual dialogue outside of cutscenes. Also, follow the messengers around a bit. Everyone is trying Josie's patience. There is an easily missed War Table banter between her and Leliana that requires a bit of stalking between Sera and Leliana. There is a fun bit of messenger tag between those two (Sera and Leliana).

Yep. Makes no sense to me that Otranto would feel his engagement is threatened by a woman.

Is there any codex or piece of lore that states definitively that women aren't allowed to get married? As far as I know nobility wouldn't like it because a same-sex relationship wouldn't have biological children, but nothing says that Josie and the Inquisitor can't just elope somewhere and get hitched, which is something that would certainly threaten Otranto's engagement.

And I have zero interest in doing a hetero run sooooo the only time I would bother to make a man if at all would be for Dorian.

Oh, Josie's romance is great! It's just that one bit that seems a bit off, but the rest is great. You get extra lines from Leli sempai too!

I don't know if there's gay marriage in Antiva, but I could see him being threatened by his betrothed being the paramour of the Inquisitor. I mean it's not like it's some random woman, it's the most powerful woman in the Thedas outside of Celene, Anora, etc...and arguably moreso than them, especially if you puppetmaster Orlais at the ball.

I don't know about the same-sex marriage in Thedas, as for having a same sex partner no-one really pays it much mind, seen as a quirk of character but if done indiscreetly scandalous in some places or something. Would be an issue for the nobility though like you said due to wanting marriages to produce heirs.

Josie is so darn cute, and Leli needs that kind of sweet friend now as much as possible, poor dear.

I think I finally have a PT where she's softened. If I ever beat this freakong Haven battle (been working on it all day, dammmn, should have overleveled) I'll make sure to do the other soften dialogue thing.

Sera's the best DAI character by far btw. 

 

The only trouble I had was the "confession" scene not happening (Turns out of of the dialogue options I had previously already selected, which didn't disappear, didn't count and it wasn't till I selected it again that the cutscene occurred).

 

If you need quick approval to attempt it again you can flirt with harding in some of the bigger areas (Can't remember which exactly but places like the Plains I assume) and do a few of her war table missions. They will get you Approval and slight approvals which might help trigger it.

 

Unless you have done all that and it still hasn't then perhaps try a story mission? (Although I think you have to lock it in prior to wicked hearts for the LI scene at the end of that mission). Adamant gets you some nice approval if you pick the right options.

 

Otherwise I have zero clue =\. I play on Xbox One and there have been a few bugs over there as well so it is quite possible it might have bugged. Hopefully it hasn't though.

Yeah, I actually spent all the power I had opening up all the areas so I could flirt with Harding. I think I did all the Jenny war missions too orz... I'm on the Winter Palace right now (I know it's too late for the dance but I hope it's not too late for romance). I already got some approval by asking her to dance and from doing something else too I think... I read she likes if you let Celene die and put Gaspard alone as ruler so I'm gonna do that...

 

I play on the PS3 btw as a human warrior. I lost a bunch of approval when I said I'd use the inquisition for my own power (oops :'D) but I already got the cookie scene and did her pranks quest and went out of my way for extra approval so I doubt I lack it tbh...

I'll try for a more softer Lels in this run, last two I allowed her to go about her shady murdering way, maybe when she eventually threatens me it won't be so scary perhaps.

How early/late into the game did you manage to start Sera's romance? As in suggesting you should get to know each other better and not having her say 'let's travel around more'.

 

Starting to wonder if I should just go after Cullen while I still can. .-.
