I think I finally have a PT where she's softened. If I ever beat this freakong Haven battle (been working on it all day, dammmn, should have overleveled) I'll make sure to do the other soften dialogue thing.

Cole's dialogue seems to imply she's actually kinda happy again with softened, so that's my preference frankly. :3
Yeah, I actually spent all the power I had opening up all the areas so I could flirt with Harding. I think I did all the Jenny war missions too orz... I'm on the Winter Palace right now (I know it's too late for the dance but I hope it's not too late for romance). I already got some approval by asking her to dance and from doing something else too I think... I read she likes if you let Celene die and put Gaspard alone as ruler so I'm gonna do that...
I play on the PS3 btw as a human warrior. I lost a bunch of approval when I said I'd use the inquisition for my own power (oops :'D) but I already got the cookie scene and did her pranks quest and went out of my way for extra approval so I doubt I lack it tbh...

Ahhh darn. I can't remember when the option goes away completely (One of the story missions you lose the chance to do it if you haven't. Possibly the one after the palace Wicked Hearts? Hopefully that one as it gives you some time to hopefully get it after your current.
I maxed out approval during adamant last two playthroughs so I'm not 100% what she gives approval for sometimes lol. Since obviously her name doesn't appear once she hits max.
I actually went and checked and there is this site that has her approval, spoilers in it obv but it did say under disapproval:
Other than some war table missions, and story approval if you have any dialogue in the wheel (outside the 5eva there ones like thoughts on companions etc) give it another select in case it did what it did in mine but from what you've said it doesn't sound like you do lol.
Well hopefully it'll unlock for you after this mission if you continue with it.
How early/late into the game did you manage to start Sera's romance? As in suggesting you should get to know each other better and not having her say 'let's travel around more'.
Starting to wonder if I should just go after Cullen while I still can. .-.
As for how early I got it. I got the cookie scene/pranks/Sexy times before the Fade and the love confession after both the fade and the palace.

Sparing the agent in Haven is a big one. The other one is telling her she did the right thing pulling her scouts back when you get to Skyhold, and that people aren't expendable, etc.
Think those are the two major ones.

Ah, well I never picked the alts to the pulling your scouts outta the field dialogue back at Skyhold and in my 2nd playthrough I did try to stop her from killing that Chantry sister but she refused to see an alternative. I suppose allowing her to remove that traitor agent back in Haven cemented it then. I think I told her not to kill him, can't remember.

Missed me? No? Oh well. I did miss a great deal this thread and you ladies and gents though (but I'm not going to read the hundreds of pages I've missed, sorry). 
I've finished the game! Took me almost 200 hours, but I finished it!
And I'm absolutely and utterly in love with Sera, she's my new Leliana: can't see myself romancing someone else (read: Josie) anytime soon. 
I mean, I will try Josie's romance, but it will be hard to resist Sera: as soon as she laughs, I'm sold.
10/10 would romance again tbh. *nods sagely*

I think part of the reason people aren't big fans of Sera is the combo of her dialogue and her accent.
If she had her accent but her writing was a little more common-tongue, I think people would like her more. As it stands, I find her very garbled and slangy; maybe that's what others are finding as well?
I think they main problem is that she's abrasive and complex. She disagrees with the player over something, and you really need to think about it to figure out where she's coming from. It gets worse with her objecting to a lot of things players just expect of her like being pro-elf.
Of course most people aren't bothered with analysis so they just think she's fickle and stupid.
She has trouble handling silk. Her solution? Get a book to sew better. For all she says she hates learning lessons, she doesn't mind them if it helps her achieve what she wants. Ironically, that makes her goal oriented. If she doesn't need to know something, she doesn't want to know.
I'd suggest it also indicates she likes learning but doesn't like being taught. She never asks anyone for help she just goes and tries to learn it herself.

I've never interfered with that conversation because the scary annoyed spymaster probably knows what she's doing and the poor recruit who happens to be good at closing breeches breaches probably doesn't.

It was a trial, non canon run to learn the game and all, so I went with Qunari. And no, I didn't do it because she likes them more, I didn't even know that at the time: I chose Qunari mostly for the boost in physical defense, it comes in handy when you're learning the ropes.

I had a rocky start with Sera, she was terrible for my dwarf so I ended up with Blackwall. She and Sera became besties tho, and I'm doing her romance rn with an Adaar. Sera.
Eh, she literally swoons with a qunari so I had no problem getting the romance started...actually, my Adaar sometimes thought about the possibility of cooling her off with a bucket of ice cold water.
