Sword and shield Reaver is fun: build guard to max, spam dragon rage with ring of pain 'til near death, use devour, rinse and repeat. Oh, and shield bash all the things.
I don't know if it would be a viable option for Hard/Nightmare runs but for Normal it was a blast.

I want to try mage at some point but I think everything else will seem tragically slow compared to daggers rogue.
Adaar sometimes thought about the possibility of cooling her off with a bucket of ice cold water.
Now there's a mental image.

Well, Sera does like qunari ladies a bit too much, she literally woofs at you after the very first flirt if Quizzy is Adaar. ![]()
Besides, a bucket of cold water poured on a girl leads to...interesting results.

Pretty much anything is viable on Hard and I'm never playing Nightmare again after I finish my current run, lmao, so bring on the fun things, I say!

Ooh, S&S has never interested me before, but with Reaver... That could be fun!

I had definitely fun with a S&S Reaver, try it! And shield bash from the S&S tree is great for combos on chilled enemies! Not to mention the sheer irony of beating a high dragon by using Dragon Rage on it. ![]()

That was the thinking, also trying to work out Sera's reaction.

Better than the bag of chicken necks remark.

I think she would try to get you wet too.
I still have to hear that remark, haven't played an elf yet. But yeah, it doesn't sound very flattering. ![]()

You still get all the normal 'how pretty are you' dialogue so it sort of evens out.
I think she would try to get you wet too.
...
Stop it.

Sera's first bow was named Troublemaker but then I made "Manic Monday" because why wouldn't Sera like The Bangles?

my daggers are called "move b*tch"and "get out da way" respectively. at least this set is. I insert hip hop in some way every playthrough.

Anyone know some minor quests that get Seras approval up? I've been dragging her around the hinterlands since I assumed she'd love me helping peasants and saving them and giving them food and blankets but so far all I've netted is one "slightly approves" from her while cole and iron bull love me for all the quests.

I wouldn't worry to much about minor quests getting approval. It's nice but not really necessary. Though I can tell you, killing a family of nugs in Crestwood during a quest can get you some approval.
Be on the safe-side and take Blackwall with you.

Wow, missed so much stuff in since i was away yesterday >.< Good morning peeps!
Lets see....Josie romance duel scene. I think it worked well with a female. After all, you challenge him. And Josie tells you no snogging of any sort while the engagement business is going on and my reaction to that was:

Wasn't so much about him feeling threatened as much as it was quizzy being denied nookie because of him. You can't let dreck like that stand, so it's swords at midday! ![]()
Crafting fun....Hum. I have made a sword for my emerald crusader. Vengence of the Elvehen. It is very shiny. Very, very shiny. It stabs my eyes every time the sun reflects off it. It also tears through barriers and guard like tissue, does electrical damage and has a 10% of casting chain lightning. Shemlen screaming while being electrocuted makes me happy so i like my sword ![]()
For Sera i'm trying to find some material that adds the 'target explodes after death' perk. Her current bow has it and it is funny as anything. If i find the material, i'm going to call the bow Jinkies!. With the exlamation ![]()

Artemis! You're back! Yay!Hello, Sera thread, long time no see!
Missed me? No? Oh well. I did miss a great deal this thread and you ladies and gents though (but I'm not going to read the hundreds of pages I've missed, sorry).
I've finished the game! Took me almost 200 hours, but I finished it!
And I'm absolutely and utterly in love with Sera, she's my new Leliana: can't see myself romancing someone else (read: Josie) anytime soon.
I mean, I will try Josie's romance, but it will be hard to resist Sera: as soon as she laughs, I'm sold.
10/10 would romance again tbh. *nods sagely*
Is that everyone?

*Poke thread* see my wifey is back
Hey stellahhhh ! ![]()
her romance with a dwarf is hilarious , and a human too . and easier then with a blasted elf...seriously .
for side quest on the Hinterland , all those starter quests : getting meds for the elf guy , food and caches . More in red cliff , the old elf guy and flower for his wife , mister loosly the ram and she approve of hiring any rogue agent using varric . She will dissaprove of any hiring of Mages , so leave her out of party when you go hire them .
She also get approval if you are an elf , but never use the special Icon and instead rely on Solas . When you get Skyhold and you gotta do the speech (dont pick the reply of Ambassador as an elf , any other race can ) but instead go for 'cose it is the right thing to do' . And conscript either side Mage or Templar (Unless you are Qunari , then ya can have them as ally and wont take much hit) .

You mean Nharia? She's been in this thread regularly. It was her birthday a couple of days ago! Seems your memory is failing! Should I call you grandma? ![]()
Saiyan came in a while back but I think Kasumi and I scared him off. I think he was trying to help her with her Sera romance but he came across as though him managing it successfully three times meant that Kasumi couldn't possibly have a bug, which didn't make sense. We both called him out on it and he got upset. Haven't seen him since.

Back for more analysis!
I noted before how where the characters hang out reveals something about them.(Iron Bull sits in the tavern where he can listen to gossip and gather info, Vivienne places herself above everyone and in plain view, etc.)
To continue on that thought: there are two characters who don't put much stock in talk. They're both evasive about their past, but their surroundings reveal a few things about them. Who? Sera and Blackwall. Notice how they both chose a spot that was out of the way? Sera is in the tavern, sure, but she hangs out in her little corner. Among the people but still apart from them. She feels she doesn't quite fit in, perhaps?
The tavern is pretty shabby, but Sera's room is on the fancier side. Her clothes are ragged, but she has nice stuff in her room. Interesting little dichotomy, isn't it?
Blackwall likewise chose a place that is out of the way, but we can find him making a toy for kids. They're both 'do it yourself' types. Is it any wonder they are friends?
Also, Vivienne. She chose a spot where everyone can see her and she surrounds herself with finery, but it can be tricky to access the place. She's showing off. In the 'expectations thread' quite a few people have said they thought Vivienne would have greater relevance to the plot because of the ad campaign. Remember it was Vivi herself talking in those ads. She talks a big game, but she's really small fry. In fact you could say she is largely irrelevant to the plot...
Sera and Blackwall are out of the way, but they're easy to find since they're both near fast travel points. Vivienne? It takes a bit of navigation and detours.
Character quests spoilers ahoy!
And that's my ramblings for today!
